The problem with 1 metre is that it's no distance at all. Distancing in England is pretty much over.
TBH, if anyone gets closer to me than 1 meter ‘that Isn’t either.
A. married to me.
Or
B. Fathered by me.
I consider it an invasion of my space.

"trust in the common sense of the British people to carry us though and see us to victory" - Boris Johnson earlier this week announced the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Major incident declared in Bournemouth as thousands of people flock to beaches
A major incident has been declared in Bournemouth after thousands of people descended on the area's beaches.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council said people had "defied advice to stay away" and condemned them as "irresponsible" as services struggle to cope.

The influx of beachgoers has caused "widespread" problems with illegal parking, "excessive" littering, gridlock on roads and anti-social behaviour, Bournemouth Council said.

There were a number of reported incidents of fights and excessive alcohol use, while cleaning crews received "abuse and intimidation" as they attempted to empty overflowing bins on the seafront.

Find it so sad. When lockdown first started we saw how quickly things changed environmentally. May only have been superficial but it was glaring obvious. Had hoped that might make people consider their behaviour but obviously not.

“It’s only one bit of litter though and nobody saw, the cleaners will get it”

If only there was some way he could easily communicate with the public. Maybe some sort of daily briefing where the scientists are actually allowed to speak.

People wanting to live their lives on the hottest day of the year and go outside after being in lockdown for 13 weeks, shouldn’t have been as many people there though but who’s gonna police it

So breaking social distancing is "common sense"?

No so thusly it appears people still need to be told this.

We can’t be locked away because of a few idiots, no thanks I’ll rather get back to some sort of normal like most people want

Do you even read what people have actually said?

No one has mentioned anything about being "locked away", people are talking about how the CMO can try and tell people they are being idiots.

Read peoples posts you twat and you won't look quite so stupid.

You can go outside/not be 'locked away' without packing a beach. Common sense would have seen most of those people take one look at the beach and say "nah, not today". Go somewhere less crowded so can distance. But they didn't.

What news?
Major incident declared in Bournemouth as thousands of people flock to beaches
Hove lawns 'trashed' after violence erupts between groups of youths
Fights break out in massive gathering of youths on Hove Lawns
Police injured during illegal street party clashes
‘I was spat at directing beach traffic'

In other news I see WHO have observed the first increase in weekly cases for months across Europe as restrictions are eased.

Regional Director Dr Hans Henri Kluge described it as a "very significant resurgence", and said warnings about the risk of resurgence had become reality.

If left unchecked, he warned health systems would be "pushed to the brink".

Do you think we should water cannon them - you seem to believe in state control

Just because you are terrified and want to hide for the rest of your life and want to cry don’t take it out on everyone else.
