This is why it should just be:

"EVERYBODY SHOULD BE EQUAL, BLACK PEOPLE SHOULD BE EQUAL TO WHITE PEOPLE"

There's no discussion to be had about that in any normal person.

When it brings sly politics in, it ruins it.

I can quite easily take a step back and not make it about politics and just make it about common sense.
Apply your own mantra and it makes it a lot more simple.

you're massively off the mark, scratch underneath the far right street thugs who hate blacks and Asians and the target of any far right hierarchy is always the Jews.
And there's little conspiracy theory doing the rounds that George Soros is behind BLM, as antisemitic as you can get that, and something I'd imagine you'd be on board with

https://www.smh.com.au/world/north-...rge-as-protests-sweep-us-20200621-p554s6.html

Im sure you said that the AFL wasn’t Marxist as well didn’t you?

I mean, the actual Black Lives Matter founder also talks about the same stuff with Israel.

It's not as if it can be palmed away as "not an official view" because it's somebody using the same slogan.

So again, should things like the Premier League have jumped on the bandwagon or just pushed their own non political, straight forward anti racism campaign?

Cant believe you support the council over Sisu. I mean you also support Coventry City and so do people with silly views therefore you must hold those silly views.

You can’t stop shitty people shouting the same things you are.

Not that I can remember, and I didn't say that BLM was or wasn't Marxist, I said it's not on their official site.
But your attempt to link being against white supremacism with being anti-Semitic was just silly to be honest. Especially as there will be a large number of Jewish people who are against white supremacy and given the history of why it's a bit insulting to them.

Remember who it was who carried out the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting not that long ago. (and just to clarify, I am not saying there is no antisemitism on the left).

Which is why I was talking about the founder of it.

What, the founder of the idea that black lives matter?

Again, there isn’t a “black lives matter official group”, there’s a slogan and a few groups that have been set up using that slogan.

Think of it like you can support Brexit without supporting Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party.

Yeah, the actual co founder of it all.

This is the issue with it, which I keep trying to point out.

BLM is like Antifa, there isn't a central organising committee and they people who support it will have a wide range of views. Some will be militant and some will be will be little old ladies having a bake sale.

I still don't see the issue with supporting the Palestinians when Israel start to commit legally actions against them.

In fact I see it as AS to say criticising Israel is AS. That is saying all jews are one homogeneous mass.

There is not a founder of BLM, it's a slogan taken from hashtags following the George Zimmerman acquittal.

BLM try to make sure there is not a "leader" or "founder" and they are group centred control structured. This is an important thing for them as they want to show they are different to the Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson era activists.

Here is an interesting view

The Jewish World | Letter: Rally for Civil rights! Avoid BLM!

I can read.

Again, this is what happens when you blindly follow politics because it suits. As you are more bothered about politics than anything else in the majority of your posts on here then I would say it is you who is blind to things.

and here's a slightly more balanced view with Jewish people expressing both support and opposition to the group but not through the prism of a crackpot conspiracy theory.
One of those expressing support is a black Jew who also considers himself a Zionist which just shows the folly of trying to paint all Jewish people of holding the same view.

Jewish groups condemn Black Lives Matter platform for accusing 'apartheid' Israel of 'genocide'

Anyone who unironically uses the phrase “Marxists” in 2020 is unhinges quite frankly. Pro or anti.

Which word would you prefer people to use to describe people who believe in Marx's theories and would like to see them implemented globally?

Everything I said there is correct. There is not a founder there are 3 women who created a hashtag. You need to actually know what you are talking about before you make yourself look like a cock. You think the street protests in places like London/LA?New York etc have anything to do with them apart from they use the slogan that they made popular?

The worldwide BLM movement is a mass of very very different people linked only by a slogan and frankly has very little to do with the Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi.

Maybe speak to them then who label them as "founders" and ask them to change it? Maybe also ask them to stop quoting themselves as founders in the media.

Like I said, make it all about politics and you look silly. Keep it simple and to the point so that nobody can really disagree.

A lot of organisations believe Hawk Newsome to be the leader of BLM, he’s nothing to do with the three ladies in your link. He’s actually the main organiser of BLM activity in NY.
It’s I’m Brian and so is my wife trying to point the finger at the leader of BLM. There’s various prominent members who the media like to point the finger at depending on the country, state, county, city, delegates as applicable.
To have someone to point the finger at is pure far right ideology. BLM is bigger than that. Just because the Colonels face is on the bucket it doesn’t mean he’s in the kitchen frying the chicken.

It shouldn't be bigger and complex. It should just be about the major point.

It's like me saying I want to start a CCFC fan chapter of the EDL but it's nothing to do with Tommy Robinson and his views but I will shout EDL as it's just a phrase.*

Fuck that, making it all about the politics and using it to push agendas is bollocks and it will detract from a lot of what people have been trying to get across. All for it to be used as a driver for some c**t's political agenda.

*I don't, just to clear that up.

Pfft you’ll be claiming next that all people who voted Brexit aren’t racists ;)

Can you point to such a person?

Marx is a fairly uncontroversial economic thinker, most of his theories stand up, he’s of the same ilk as Smith or Keynes but we don’t go around talking about Smithists and very rarely about Keynesians. We accept any economist worth their salt knows of all these theories and their place.

The point is he made an analysis of the economy, including thoughts on how the means of production may come into workers hands in various circumstances but the idea there’s some fully formed political program isn’t accurate. Many people claim to be Marxists and doing things in his name, many many more call everything they don’t like Marxism, thanks to both sides it’s basically a meaningless term these days. There’s no one school of Marxist thought. There are lots of people inspired by his analysis.

I always thought the Communist Manifesto was a great little book on the politcal economy and yet it seemed to have little to say on communism beyond the stage of socialism. It was a bit like the Hobbit as a prelude to Lord of the Rings :)

Difference is the order that they came into being. EDL came first so you using it would be you attaching yourself to it. With BLM it's the other way round - the hashtag came first and all the organisations that now use it are attaching themselves to that piggybacking off the media exposure to push their own agenda.

The women created the hastag, not the many organisations since that are using it to push wider agendas. That's a load of political opportunists looking to increase their media exposure.

It's not creating a hashtag, it's a movement isn't it?

I mean when you have the founders endorsing the "chapters" and crediting them then it's very naive to think they are all opportunists with no links? Is it OK to say that my chapter in the EDL is nothing to do with Tommy Robinson but he does endorse it and comes to meet with us? He is calling me comrade too.

Would the exposure from celebs, premier league etc have helped BLM UK raise over a million? I think more people should have stopped to ask the questions rather than blindly jumping on the bandwagon making sure they weren't labelled a racist. Why isn't there a hashtag on the back of football shirts or the badges presenters wear?

There's no need for the politics, you are never ever going to get something that people agree on when you push politics.

The woman lecturer who was saying anti-white stuff the other week is having a shocker.

She's deleted some tweets saying they were fake and gone to the police but not deleted them all. Has been liking racist tweets as well but stays in her job?
