The fact you are having to get it down to the exact breed shows you are looking for racism. Why the attempt to dig as much as possible to find some strenuous link to make things racist.

All I am doing is asking why it is OK for him to make that comparison but it is racist when somebody else does? The same as when you said that guy in London was only stopped and searched because he was black.

You are going out of your way to make out everything is racist, i am just questioning how it is racist. At least NW says "because Akinfenwa says it is".

Again, why did Akinfenwa have to compare himself to a Buffalo?
It was actually the guy from Fleetwood who got it down to an exact breed not me.
I’ve explained it to you numerous times why the picture isn’t racist. It clearly isn’t a reference to colour as the guy on Akinfenwas back is not by any stretch of the imagination the same colour as a lion. It’s clearly a reference to size in that a player at least half the size of Akinfenwa takes Akinfenwa down. You even then moan about people looking for racism in everything after making the photo in your mind about colour.
I’ll ask you again. Why not just call him a fat c**t? Why did he specifically choose to call him a fat water buffalo? Had he just milked Akinfenwa and made some mozzarella cheese from his milk?

Getting a reaction like that for saying you get your wife to deal with the neighbours. 🤡
You don't know what goes on in my life, and which nerves you might touch because of what's going on at the time.

If you want to play the classless game, there's plenty to go at for you around these parts.

Hang on so... if you were in a pub, said something to a bloke and he said he was offended because you'd said something racist to him, you'd argue with him and say nope you weren't being racist, because in 1973 he said something else...?

I'm sorry, but stuff like this is exactly why Racism is taking so long to be eradicated from society.

Can you not see I am just flipping the coin?

I made it about colour to ask why that isn't racist but the other guy is even though Akinfenwa doesn't have horns?

You have to be consistent, plenty of other animals Akinfenwa could use too. Not too sure how you can't see the likeness in skin colour contrast though, it is pretty obvious to anybody with eyes. This is after you tried to make out he didn't say it and it was just far right people saying it.

This is part of the issue that dilutes actual racism.

Does intent become part of the equation here. We all know there's certain things you just don't say, like the n-word for example, so if people start throwing that around we all know what their intent is.

But if Akinfenwa can describe himself as a water buffalo in a joke but then get offended when someone else says the same its a complete minefield. How do you know what you can and can't say when its totally down to the recipient if its offensive or not?

Best thing to do is everyone stop talking to everyone. Then no one can be offended by anyone.

Scrap the internet while we're at it as well.

That's what I am trying to get at.

This whole "If he says it is racist then it is racist" is madness. Tony was saying it was racist that the guy carrying a knife, wanted on a warrant as stopped and searched.

How can racism be sorted when effectively pretty much anything anybody says can be tediously linked to race?

Because I'd apologise to somebody if I'd been unwittingly racist towards them?!?

The guy wasn’t stopped for any other reason than being black though. The police didn’t know who he was when they stopped him, they lucked out on that.

They stopped him because of the incident they were called to.

This is the kind of bullshit which means things will never be sorted where everything and everyone is racist unless they can prove otherwise.

Ankinfenwa didn’t describe himself as a buffalo though, water or otherwise. He made a comparison of a lion bringing down a buffalo to his team mate who’s half his size taking him down by jumping on his back during a goal celebration. That’s the context of the photo.
When someone called him a fat water buffalo what’s the context of that remark? It’s the context that determines if it’s racist or not.

That the guy wasn’t involved in from everything I’ve read. Unless you know better the guy just happened to be in the wrong place with the wrong skin colour at the wrong time. They didn’t know he had an outstanding warrant when they stopped him. They could have easily just stopped a crown court judge, a charity worker, an of duty police man, a doctor, a nurse, a scientist etc etc if the only reason they were stopping people was based on skin colour. And that is why it was racist.

Again, I don't think it was meant as a racist insult.

I don't understand why we're trying to prove it's not, however... or what that gains us in life.
You're all over the place with this one.

But you are saying it is racist when you don't seem to know what happened? That is part of the problem.

They stopped him because:

Coutain matched the description of a suspect in an assault case

That isn't racist, that is trying to solve crime.

It isn't racist to stop people matching descriptions of people involved in crime in the same area.

Maybe because you keep saying it is because he says it is and people are questioning that?

That's not how it works.

If you call a white person a fat pig you’re just as likely to call a black person a fat pig because the pig reference tends to be a reference to eating behaviour not skin colour. How many White people do you know who have been a fat water buffalo?
Why specifically did the guy use a water buffalo if you’re going to suggest it has the same connotation? I think we can rule out Akinfenwa being capable of providing the raw material to make mozzarella cheese. Maybe Akinfenwa is a vegan? Why specifically a water buffalo? If he’d called him a fat pig given the historical context of the saying and it’s used universally regardless of creed or colour I think anyone arguing that it’s racist would be struggling. A fat water buffalo is an unusual turn of phrase, I’ve certainly never heard it before. If he’d called him a fat ox for instance, the phrase as strong as an ox is a well known phrase and again used regardless of creed or colour and personally I wouldn’t take that as racist, although others would. Fat water buffalo doesn’t even roll of the tongue like fat pig. Why specifically a water buffalo?

In other words he was black. There’s plenty of white criminals out there, the next time I get stopped because I meet the description of a wanted criminal will be the first, yet I know black people who have been stopped and searched multiple times because they apparently meet the description of a known criminal.

Yes and the suspect of the crime was black and matched the description. It could also mean the clothes he was wearing, not just skin colour.

I have been stopped because of the "matching a description" line, mainly when I was a "roadman" back in the day. Just like I used to always get stopped because I used to drive popular cars to what Car Thieves liked.

What next, if a person who is black commits a crime then nobody who matches the description in that area can be stopped and searched? If the suspect is black they aren't going to stop white people in the vicinty are they?

It should be "well done, you took a dangerous man who was wanted and armed off the street" rather than "you are racist for stopping that black man".

Matched the description and driving erratically are the polices go to when they are being cunts

Aside from the woman filming themselves driving away from the police when being asked to stop.

It seems from these couple of examples, "skin colour" is the go-to when people are cunts.

If you’re referring to the English athlete and her husband the car was 100% legal and didn’t trigger the the ANPR. Dave is right though, driving erratically is a common BS excuse. For many years my only mode of transport was motorbikes and I’d constantly get stopped for simply riding a motorbike and they’d always give the excuse I was riding erratically and I never was. In the end I started carrying all my documentation on me as I got pissed of with producers.

Nobody has said the car was illegal. It was more the failing to stop when asked by the police. She even got her phone out to film him driving away and failing to stop.

I used to get pulled over a lot for driving fast cars like a twat or normally. I used to get stopped by the police when we used to hang about on the streets or i the park back in the day.

The difference was I didn't try to fight them or get away from them. I have mates who did give them loads of shit and they were always treated differently for some reason, I never got it.

Maybe they should have stopped a white guy wearing shorts and carrying an umbrella.

Good job Tony don't work for the club because if Robins told him to pop up to Walsall's next game and scout out Bakayoko, he'd have come back with Lavery's signature.

I'd disagree. People usually call white people "pigs" because of the comparison to white people's "pink" skin. Surely if calling Akinfenwa a fat water buffalo is racist, that is racist too no?

Why specifically a water buffalo? Yeah exactly, surely the right-wing, racist Fleetwood player should be calling him the N word? Unless either A) it wasn't said at all (considering Akinfenwa did not actually hear it, but learned of it after the game) or B) he didn't mean it in a racial way, more of him having the physique he uniquely possesses for a football player.

What the hell has that got to do with it?

Your argument was Akinfenwa had no right to consider being called a water buffalo offensive because another black man was content enough to voice one in a film.

So I'm saying you'd have no right to consider being called a paedo offensive because another white man was content enough to play one in a film.

If I were a professional footballer I'd consider being called a water buffalo at a football match as a refenence to my physique and speed , not my skin colour. People on here jumped up and down and concluded that Akinfenwa was insulted for some reason because a water buffalo appear to be black . Idris Elba clearly hasn't an issue.
There's no comparison to being called a paedophile in th context you talk about . If someone white (as they woud be ) played Peter Sutcliffe in a film are you saying i'd have no right not to be offended to not be called a seriel killer? . In that case all white males can be called paedophiles, murdererd, drug barons, psychpaths, etc, given all the films made since WW2. Neither can any black people.
Your example is ridiculous

That's the thing, it isn't racist if the police are called to an incident and somebody nearby matches a description. I don't get why people are more eager to say "It was racist to stop him" than "the prick was carrying a knife and beat his ex missus to a pulp".

I have even been called out of a nightclub by bouncers and the police before because somebody matching my description was in a fight. It wasn't me, I just talked to them and explained it wasn't me and had a bit of a joke with them.

Now, I am sure if I gave them attitude. Tried to run away, abused them, tried to fight them and acted like a prick it would have gone a lot differently.

"It doesn't matter that he failed to stop"
"It doesn't matter that he was driving on the wrong side of the road"
"It doesn't matter that he refused to get out of the car"
"It doesn't matter that he matched a description in an area where there had been violence"
"It doesn't matter that he was carrying a knife"

It's all bullshit that people need to own.

So you put the case that because Akinfenwa wasn't called a fat c**t that it must therefore be racist ? Then you go on google and look into finding as much as you can about water buffalo to play the race card. As lots of people did. You even found out all about Idris Elba's heritage which you proudly spouted.
Shall I do a hashtag for you ?

If it was the bloke from Wycombe and the pigs image was a black breed it probably would be accused as such though it may be trying to lampoon obesity and would look a bit stupid if it was an illustration in pink.
