It clearly isn’t a reference to colour as the guy on Akinfenwas back is not by any stretch of the imagination the same colour as a lion. It’s clearly a reference to size in that a player at least half the size of Akinfenwa takes Akinfenwa down. You even then moan about people looking for racism in everything after making the photo in your mind about colour.

You have to be consistent, plenty of other animals Akinfenwa could use too. Not too sure how you can't see the likeness in skin colour contrast though, it is pretty obvious to anybody with eyes. This is after you tried to make out he didn't say it and it was just far right people saying it.

If he’d called him a fat ox for instance, the phrase as strong as an ox is a well known phrase and again used regardless of creed or colour and personally I wouldn’t take that as racist, although others would. Yes and the suspect of the crime was black and matched the description. It could also mean the clothes he was wearing, not just skin colour.

I have been stopped because of the "matching a description" line, mainly when I was a "roadman" back in the day. Just like I used to always get stopped because I used to drive popular cars to what Car Thieves liked.

What next, if a person who is black commits a crime then nobody who matches the description in that area can be stopped and searched? If the suspect is black they aren't going to stop white people in the vicinty are they?

If you’re referring to the English athlete and her husband the car was 100% legal and didn’t trigger the the ANPR. Dave is right though, driving erratically is a common BS excuse. For many years my only mode of transport was motorbikes and I’d constantly get stopped for simply riding a motorbike and they’d always give the excuse I was riding erratically and I never was. In the end I started carrying all my documentation on me as I got pissed of with producers.

Nobody has said the car was illegal. It was more the failing to stop when asked by the police. She even got her phone out to film him driving away and failing to stop.

That's the thing, it isn't racist if the police are called to an incident and somebody nearby matches a description. I don't get why people are more eager to say "It was racist to stop him" than "the prick was carrying a knife and beat his ex missus to a pulp".

I have even been called out of a nightclub by bouncers and the police before because somebody matching my description was in a fight. It wasn't me, I just talked to them and explained it wasn't me and had a bit of a joke with them.

Now, I am sure if I gave them attitude. Tried to run away, abused them, tried to fight them and acted like a prick it would have gone a lot differently.
