The articles are confusing but senior schools seem to have had a 3 week lockdown other than years 7 and 8
Also people really should get off the New Zealand nonsense and really try and understand why Japan - which has similar civil Liberty rules to Sweden - have fared rather well compared to anyone else of a similar aged population.

What's concerning and could drive an unwarranted fear/ doubt is that the government doesn't produce or share data more widely if at all .
The stats here are provided from the union's.

Guidance for schools during the firebreak (from 6:00pm on Friday 23 October).
Seems to suggest same as here apart from 2-3 year groups,max 2 weeks,unless they review and re-evaluate.

It’s about 40% of the Year. My school is in Northampton. One child had a confirmed case in holidays, so guidance says we had to go back and look at their last day in school as it was in the ‘contagious period’ (the Fri they broke up) and go through the class lists - everyone in the near vicinity of them had to go home. 5 rooms with completely different kids in each and you have 100 kids at home.

Just got off the phone to my godmother whose 21 year old grandson is just about to be released from Warwick Hospital. Has been in intensive care, scarred lungs, can manage a few steps before being completely knackered. No underlying health conditions. Just in case anybody reading thinks they are 'safe'. (also I'm not trying to frighten those people who are already worried - apologies to them)

I cant help but feel, maybe naively, that a lot of lockdown scepticism is fear for losing your livelihood. And therefore if the government put in more comprehensive support over a longer timescale that we’d see more compliance with lockdown.
I get the impression Sunak’s ridiculous concerns about the daily finances are stopping this rather than any thought out policy. And he’s supposed to be the sensible one.

That's got to be a mistake. The bit about closing places of worship says they can stay open if they're being used as food banks so would be very strange to close other food banks down.

That’s what I thought - I read it in an article, then I went to the .Gov website and unsurprisingly was none the wiser....
Article (maybe not the best place for news I know) but still more comprehensive than the government guidance.
