Less agreeable but still better than all of them

Its actually confusing as one article said older years are allowed but I assume that’s wrong. I assume the BBC article is correct which say primary and early years are allowed - I guess the real issue is some children are excluded and it makes no difference as infections have risen

Maybe ask yourself why it is that most teachers and the largest union think it should be remote for 3 weeks

But the Wales and Ireland examples from Dave’s charts suggest it’s not going to make any real difference?

Without the data and based on % 66k cases within schoolkids, senior's twice the rate of juniors .
Then within the home spread, into the community, teachers, asymptomatics 45-50%?
Where's that get to?
Parents at school gates?

Have they?
Same as us apart from those 2-3 yr groups I thought?

The articles are confusing but senior schools seem to have had a 3 week lockdown other than years 7 and 8

Also people really should get off the New Zealand nonsense and really try and understand why Japan - which has similar civil Liberty rules to Sweden - have fared rather well compared to anyone else of a similar aged population.

They're both regionally and geographically similar aren't they, but vastly different to here or large continent's?

What's concerning and could drive an unwarranted fear/ doubt is that the government doesn't produce or share data more widely if at all .
The stats here are provided from the union's.

.

Seems to suggest same as here apart from 2-3 year groups, max 2 weeks, unless they review and re-evaluate.

First morning back and we’ve had to send home 100 Year 11’s already.

Is that the whole year?

Could we have some more details. It keeps us up with the latest of what's going on in these areas.

Stephen Yaxley-Lennon out getting himself in a camera opportunity with the police yesterday. Playing the victim. Farage forming some anti-lockdown/they are stealing our civil liberties group. As if 2020 couldn't get worse, the two shit munchers are trying to be top of the pops again.

It’s about 40% of the Year. My school is in Northampton. One child had a confirmed case in holidays, so guidance says we had to go back and look at their last day in school as it was in the ‘contagious period’ (the Fri they broke up) and go through the class lists - everyone in the near vicinity of them had to go home. 5 rooms with completely different kids in each and you have 100 kids at home.

Grafters scamming money from stupid people. It’s just a shame the things they preach are so toxic as well.

Two massive C-Units who banged on about ‘Sovereignty’ now actively protesting against the Government’s rules imposed (albeit subject to Parliamentary vote this week) because Parliament is, and always has been, sovereign. I will also add Richard Tice into the C-Unit description

Farage had to do something, Lawrence Fox was stealing his customers.

The only good thing is that the sensible people who were disenfranchised or nostalgic and got drawn into Farages nonsense might now see him for the self serving opportunistic parasite he is.

James O’Brien has just created a fantastic name/acronym for the new party, given those who are behind it;

Farage And Tice Anti-Lockdown Party...
...or the FATAL Party

Just got off the phone to my godmother whose 21 year old grandson is just about to be released from Warwick Hospital. Has been in intensive care, scarred lungs, can manage a few steps before being completely knackered. No underlying health conditions. Just in case anybody reading thinks they are 'safe'. (also I'm not trying to frighten those people who are already worried - apologies to them)

Might have put this in the wrong thread. Proof, if ever there was, you can have too much Covid ;)

The world's mad.

Who knew this kind of thing would be debated in Covid?!?

I cant help but feel, maybe naively, that a lot of lockdown scepticism is fear for losing your livelihood. And therefore if the government put in more comprehensive support over a longer timescale that we’d see more compliance with lockdown.

I get the impression Sunak’s ridiculous concerns about the daily finances are stopping this rather than any thought out policy. And he’s supposed to be the sensible one.
