Add in to that
'they really won't want to lose this one'
'the sending off just made their task harder'
A musnt lose game
Isn't every game a 'musn't lose' game, when you are at the bottom? 'Mmm I don't mind if we lose this one' is not heard THAT often. Mind you I will happily take a draw, as it is away from home. Different if we were at home. Keep chunking up the points.

I suspect the game will make Luton seem like a free-flowing open game by comparison - but I don't care.

Sadly there will be no Westbrooke -> Shipley -> Godden move - one of my favourite goals of last year.

It's hard to forecast a result when we don't know what mentality Robins will be sending the team out with. Last year you knew we would be trying to beat the majority of teams. This year there are variable scenarios - he could be fine with a point knowing it's an away game, or alternatively want all 3 because we've had success against them in the past and they're in the bottom 3.

It'll be what causes a lot of the angst on the match thread because people who envisaged us going for a win, will be pissed off when we're one up front and defending deep in the first half.

The only games I don't care about losing are friendlies and Checkawank Trophy games

Missed this injury update on Godden if it was posted somewhere else:

Robins revealed that Godden was running on Alter G treadmill up to 75% of his body weight on Tuesday and that he was hopeful that the striker would be back on the grass by the end of the week.

“He’ll be a bit closer but at this stage he has got through the Alter G, but I don’t know if he’s had any reaction.

“He may get cleared to be on the grass today, so I’m hoping the sooner the better because we need him back with us as quickly as possible.”

I suspect he will set us up not to lose. The psychological effect of losing to Wycombe wouldn't be good and being away from home with a crowd there is the perfect excuse. I really hope it isn't the case, because I think we should be looking to beat them, but I can see quite a defensive line up coming out.

Watch him play three strikers now.

Beers in the fridge. I'm expecting us to be good enough to win today. Not raining or windy. Extra days rest compared to them.

Let’s hope Shipley can get his passing back on track today.

Wouldn’t it have been more beneficial to rest Hamer against Huddersfield, this is a more important game than that. Unless he’s carrying something.

Robins basically betting that a similar kind of team to the one that trounced Wycombe last year can do it again today.

Having a bench where you could potentially bring on Baka, Biamou, Hamer AND Kastaneer means the potential banter levels are off the charts.

Guessing it's a case of adjusting to the team, guess they think they can exploit Wycombe this way. Would've liked 2 up top and would've liked Hamer but plenty of scope to change things these days if needed.

Only 2 changes, not a drastic change, dropping 1 back into attacking midfield and sheaf can do a job next to Kelly on the ball

Ugh the box... Guess it worked vs Wycombe last season, hopefully still have too much for them.
