At least it's still 3 at the back with wing backs.Only 2 changes, not a drastic change, dropping 1 back into attacking midfield and sheaf can do a job next to Kelly on the ball
Would have played Biamou though

Agreed. Luckily Wycombe are league 1 as fuck so hopefully he'll be fine.Shipley for me isn't good enough for the championship but happy to be proven wrong.
I understand it clear 1 Shipley & 2 were 1 up front to probably the poorest side in the league...Happy with that, don't understand the meltdown (more on Twitter than here tbf).
We definitely need to rotate, looked very leggy vs Luton. Wycombe couldn't handle the box last year & Shipley was very good vs them too
I don't think he's adapted yet either but when you need to rotate the squad and give the players the chance to adapt, then another newly promoted team, that we were much better than in L1, is probably the right time to do it. I would have kept 2 strikers personally.Shipley for me isn't good enough for the championship but happy to be proven wrong.

Dabo was key last season so we need thek full backs high todayI'm guessing he doesn't feel confident about winning the aerial battle so will try and play on the deck and press their back line with the striker and 2 attacking midfielders, basically like we played last season
The heavyweight championship of the worldId bring Kasta on when he comes on just to take a booking from smashing him
You’re not even good enough for league twoMe too.

Saying that this line up should be enough to beat them
The key will be a combination of how close the base of the 'box' play to the attacking midfielders and how free the wingbacks are to support. If there's a big gap between Sheaf/Kelly and O'Hare/Shipley then the short easy progression passes have to travel too far and we'll end up forced to lump it into channels for Walker to chase.

He has to touch the ball firstLet’s hope Shipley can get his passing back on track today.

We will end up 2 up front at 0-0 around 70 minsThe 2 up front would play into Wycombe's strengths.
Having 2 x CAMs gives them a lot of problems, do the midfielders drop deep to pick them up & leave space for Sheaf, Kelly & the WBs? Or do their defenders step out to pick them up leaving space for Walker to exploit?
It's exactly what killed Wycombe last season.

I’m sure he will be upset about thatRobins is well and truly our king.
But he's starting to piss me off.
To be fair the ball will be travelling over his head most of the gameHamer on bench.
King Kasta back on bench.
Changes to be expected I guess with the games in quick succession. Disappointed by Hamer not playing but if he needs a rest so be it. prob find Kelly misses the next one.
At least we can bring the likes of Biamou, Giles and Hamer of the bench if needed and this is opposition Shipley prob has more chance of being effective against. Bit concerned about his reluctance to tackle against a physical side though.

We literally beat them 4-1 with one up front and Shipley in the team last season.Except for the fact we will be pressing with a player that won't tackle.
Playing one up front and having Shipley in the team feels a bit like having 9 players.
Trying to think of positives of Shipley. He does have an eye for a goal. And a decent scoring record. Fingers crossed.
