Bugger, got me in Oxfordshire. From the Angling Trust, looks like I can still go fising locally to me. That's at least some consolation.

Why are there so many elderly people wondering around the supermarket at this time?

You literally have all fucking day to go, yet you choose the busiest time during a pandemic. I just finished paying in Asda and some old woman and her daughter, I presume, were waddling towards the exit, causing a massive queue of shoppers. The trail of trolleys were like planes waiting to get on the runway to take off .

This part of a guardian article
Does this put it at a hundred time's more cases than recorded of ours.
Does this make it 100 times more infectious?

Edit :- the South African version.

Anyone want to do the maths measuring the current levels when comparing to the ons data of 1 in 90 infections.

Is that how many new cases they think we have over a week - in which case just over 100,000 a day - or is it how many people are infected with it right now, which would be hard to calculate because some people may have had it longer than a week.

That was their calculated average for current levels of infection I think .
Do they run the data over a Two week average?announced last week

I genuinely feel for all the truckers stuck in Kent.

We all know how shit a traffic jam is, but fuck me, that is an ordeal to go through.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but they've added another tier of colour to some covid maps.

I'm just wondering if they can fit in any more tier levels.

Things may be creaking around the sides.

Wouldn’t blame any of them for ditching their trucks. It’s illegal to be kept in your cab for so long, bet they’ll never be compensated.

What's happened to those nightingale hospitals

They don't need them.

There was also a lot of NHS workers who offered to return to work after they had left or retired etc. They weren't needed either.

Again, the death rates are lethal if you are in certain categories, but under 60s without underlying health conditions, the number is about 300 from the whole year. (No that doesn't mean I think over 60s and vulnerable people are expendable.)
