I’ve been worried about this very thing...mindset of a paranoid Cov fan. My rationale is there’s always a team that drops into the relegation zone from nowhere, and that this season it would be us.
I’m starting to feel more confident that it won’t be...I won’t be 100% until it’s 100% guaranteed!
Shit!!! That’d be just our luck!I just did the predictor, and made every single game go against us

Fingers crossed! I can see us playing out a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield. It's understandable, but the closer it gets to the wire the more like gold dust points become, and we picked up 6 massive ones last week. Come the end of the week we could be on 54 points and pouring a glass of wine to watch Shrek and Rotherham fight it out for survival
Fingers crossed! I can see us playing out a 0-0 draw with Huddersfield.
Why did Derby appoint a shaved bear as their manager?
I think we will be mathematically safe by 5pm on Saturday.I’m still looking at Rotherham and Derby’s remaining fixtures, worrying how they can catch us. Please win tomorrow city and put me out my misery

4 points from Stoke and Preston who are in mid table and will hopefully not be too bothered, meanwhile Derby host Birmingham who still need points to ensure safety.
Derby are the lowest scorers in the Championship and only Southend have scored fewer in the 3 EFL divisions. also they still have to go to Swansea, in fact all 3 of Derby's remaining games are against teams that need points.
That would mean Derby getting 4 points from Birmingham (H) and Swansea (A) as well as beating Sheff W, in which case Sheff W couldn't catch us. Sheff W can only equal our current points by winning all their remaining games (including Derby)I just did the predictor, and made every single game go against us

They needed points to be sure of safety before tonight's result, plus I doubt they will find our defence as accommodatingPNE didn’t have to work hard for the 3-0 tonight, Derby were atrocious.
A couple of weeks ago I’d have said we’d have no chance of getting to 50 points...we’ve come a long way.I personally reckon we’ll beat PNE and at least draw Millwall, perhaps lose the away games perhaps a boring 0-0. Either way pretty confident we’ll make it to 50+.
Selfishly we could definitely do with Derby going down.

I’m not sure that just one more point won’t be enough.
Millwall manager has already said he doesn't care about league position now and is going to use the remaining games to experimentI fancy Stoke and Millwall will be easier than Udders or PNE (who I think are in the best form of the lot) Edit: Millwall probably in best form, but I can't take them seriously after the game at their place.

2 experimental teams to play each other on the last day then? Or will Robins play our best team?
Best team, but with a couple maybe blooded from the off, or to come on from the bench.2 experimental teams to play each other on the last day then? Or will Robins play our best team?
I don't get this we are safe attitude, while we can still be caught, i won't relax until the points are secured, one more win should do it, hopefully that will be this evening, although i think we will draw, saturday i believe we can celebrate
Yep I was trying to work out what that meant and you can’t because there’s no way of saying derby or Wednesday will win. If one assumes Wednesday will though they both need to win everything from now to catch usIn one way you are right, but in terms of nervousness, take yourself back to pre-kick off against Rotherham, then compare that to how you feel today. That's why I think we are safe. Also helps that Derby play Sheff Wed on the last day (they can't both win)

I cant think of a worst side to come up against though for fight, than a Neil Warnock side. That feeling is now going to be enjoyed by Derby for basically every game now, doubly so if Rotherham win tonight.

They won't just lie down and Rotherham are already tired.
I think they will do well to manage a draw.
1-1

Yup, I am not saying we ARE safe, but 48 points could already be enough.Technically, we can be caught. But the likelihood of both Rotherham and Derby catching us up is not very probable.
Frankly, Rotherham are running out of games to make the gap up and they’ve blew their chance of survival by losing to Wycombe, ourselves, Birmingham and drawing to Huddersfield in April so far. All but one of those games was at home.
Bear that run in mind, and compare that to fixtures against Middlesbrough, Brentford, Barnsley, Blackburn, Luton and Cardiff.
They could catch Derby, I can’t see them catching up up with Huddersfield, ourselves and Birmingham.
I wouldn't mind but they were in the third division in the 80s, 12 years after winning the first division titleA lot of it was very close to the things we were saying in 2012, outraged at the idea of going down to L1, comical managerial appointment, clueless owners etc etc.
Robins lost 6-2 at home to going down to non league Yeovil. Freak results happenHad to laugh at 16th place in League One Plymouth.
Plymouth 0 Charlton 6.
One of the ‘Robin’s is crap, we need him out’ brigade had Ryan Lowe down as one of the managers to come in and do a better job. I wonder what the reaction on the Plymouth forum was to Ryan last night and today? I’m not saying that Lowe is a poor manager but why would you want to replace Robins, considering his record with Rotherham , Barnsley and particularly here, with Lowe?
Yup, I am not saying we ARE safe, but 48 points could already be enough.
I just can't see Derby, Rotherham and Sheff Weds matching that. Wednesday and Derby playing each other last game helps too, because they obviously can't both win.

I rate Ryan Lowe. He’s had 2 promotions in his last 2 seasons. Plays good attacking football, It was more who could come in on our price range.
He also fits our model in that he’s developed young players from the academy. Luke Jephcott being the main one.
I’ve already stated on a past thread, I got it wrong on Robins. Thought he was tactically stubborn. Glad we move on upwards.
There will be a time though when he does leave, and I stand by what I said and Ryan Lowe would he a good replacement
How can anyone accuse Robins of being tactically stubborn?
Anyone who’s followed us in his second spell can see we’ve changed systems several times.
Real life football management is not like FIFA or Football Manager where changing tactics changes things at the click of the button.
