On another note , I agree with you lot about the spending of public money on takeaways .

I get annoyed by some of the ludicrous expenses afforded to MPs
Maybe a solution was an MP got a flat salary and they had to pay for all their expenditure from it. Might make them think twice about some of the absurdities we have seen.

Do you accept that the Queen is our head of state?

Again this is childish - put a picture of Biden, merkle and Macron together and ask for the U.K. equivalent - how many would say the Prime Minister.

Also I assume you blame the Queen for sending the military to Iraq and not Mr Blair and Mr Campbell.

I assume you believe Blair and Campbell are entirely innocent and the bloodthirsty Queen should be dragged to The Hague for war crimes?

So what is her purpose? If it's only to 'open a fete in Hastings' really what is the point?

To save another tier of governance and to act as a benign figure - it’s a unique constitution which is the envy of much of the world

How is it childish it's an objective fact that the Queen is the head of state, an expensive one too, and not the PM.

Why do you carry on making a fool of yourself when you're just wrong?

You are ignoring every comment I make and pretty much everyone agrees with me that the PM and politicians are under paid - you once said she’s a grey haired old granny and if she. Any do anything what’s the point

It’s you that’s looking utterly foolish.

It’s absurd he has to dodge rules on ordering food. In most western countries he’d have a far far better residence and many are paid a lot more and also have their own private chefs paid for.

It’s symptomatic of a wider issue that the leader of the country is underpaid and undervalued compared to many of his peers

Ignoring your straw man nonsense until you accept that you're wrong. Just like when you were wrong about it being her that formally signs off on new laws

The Queen is not a decision maker and does not represent the country in any talks with other world leaders - our PM is exactly the same status as Merkle macron and Biden. She is a figurehead the same as all other Eu countries with royalty though it is worth noting I believe that the French PM also is paid more than ours even though it’s a far less important role

Johnson runs the country and if you undervalue the job who limit the talent pool who wants it
Well except Russian ones when her cousin gets paid to organise it.

in reality no she’s a sign off for protocol and my point is our prime minister is the exact equivalent of macron etc

I’m not struggling. I doubt Matt Hancock’s staff are either. Nurses on the other hand...

The staff you are talking of will be largely SEO and HEOs, earning similar to or less than nurses. But hey, up the workers eh.

You have stated on here that the Queen has ultimate power and over military deployment the probe minister none. Anthony Charles Lyndon Blair - did he send troops to Iraq or the Queen. It’s a very simple question and so please answer it

The Queen is also the commander-in-chief, as Biden is for the US. Who do the soldiers swear allegiance to, the Queen or Boris Johnson?

Just so you know it was an average of £4,179.00 per order (doesn’t say how many people that was for, it was from a trendy expensive restaurant rather than domino’s and Mhancock justified it by saying
“I can absolutely justify feeding people who are working 18 hours a day to keep you and everybody else in this country safe,”
Unless those people keeping people safe are nurses.

You really have a massive chip on your shoulder - thatcher would have dealt with this crises better than any of the pipsqueak politicians we now have. Even trying to compare her to insignificant worms like Corbyn and Starmer is genuinely hilarious

What the fuck are you talking about now?

You mentioned how Thatcher and Major weren't from posh backgrounds so why are they for giving money to the wealthy and big business. Point being she was a believer in stuff like trickle down economics and that the wealthy etc were more to be trusted. Or put more simply, she was a snob, despite her background. What the hell does that have to do with dealing with this crisis?

Tbf she probably would've been a bit better at leading in this crises unlike Johnson who flip flops depending on public opinion. But on the other hand Thatcher was far more dogged and refused to accept when she was wrong. So if she'd started out on a path of keeping the economy open etc because it was that much more important then she'd have probably stuck with that doggedly for far longer and made it even worse, like Bolsonaro.

Mirror story about money to the very wealthy over the last year makes you weep. We really do need an alternative vision of a more just and fair future

Why on earth did Grendel laugh at that. I'm getting genuinely worried about his mental state.

'in reality' answer the question, is she or is she not our head of state?

Most certainly not as all the powers are in the hands of the prime minister

If Argentina invade the Malvinas and we decide this is an act of war parliament decides and he deploys the military not the monarch

I doubt you are. I’m laughing as it’s one political cliche after another

Scrounging c**t.

This is the guy in essence in charge of the economy. He's got no financial sense at all.

If you had a working class person struggling to pay the bills and getting takeaway every night and redecorating they be considered totally irresponsible and financially illiterate and should cut their cloth accordingly. And that'd be for spending a tenner on a McDonalds and a few quid per roll of wallpaper.

But get a posh voice and education and spending thousands on overpriced organic or hundreds on a roll of wallpaper and you're given the keys to the Treasury.

It's fucking madness.

His personal life is in chaos. He’s the privileged equivalent of someone born into normal life that’s made repeatedly bad life choices, ended up on the street and begging. It’s essentially what he is, a beggar.

He should have a Michelin chef and an advisor - I’m not even joking the U.K. needs to get out of this 1970’s view of its leaders

Posh bloke earning roughly 6 times the average UK worker should get free food mde for him. Single parent families struggling to get by on minimum wage should get fuck all. You really are a cap doffer aren't you. I bet you're envious of Cameron's pig at the Bullingdon club.

No I’m pointing out a basic fact that the Prime Minister - who is our head of state - is paid significantly less than his counterparts across the West and many have gyms saunas cinemas and personal chefs as part of the deal

Yesterday you were droning on about India - why don’t the Indian government purchase equipment rather than get it for free

I’m certainly not bitter it’s you that has some Wolfie Smith tub thumping idea of how the world is run. You actually come across as some bloke in his eighties whose “voted Labour all me life”

If they had all that and it swapped to Labour you'd be the first one harping on about 'do as I say not as I do" and "why doesn't this leftie follow his principles and do the same as the common man and pay for his own stuff and cook it himself".

Whereas you could pay a fortune and get big hitters like Dido Harding.
