Coleman was always dressed up like an Armani shop dummy. In fact going by the lack of anything coming from him, an actual shop dummy would probably have dome a better job. As long as it's "nuts and bolts" didn't come loose and his head fell off.

And as far as i remember Thorn was wearing a suit and tie most times i looked across the pitch last season, so i can only assume your,e irrational dislike of the man is down to the fact he's overweight, therefore i'm happy to be wrong anyway.

Actually I have already said that I am not necessarily a subscriber to the body image think. I am perfectly rational. I therefore don't dislike him as I don't know him. I just think he is very poor at what he is paid to do.

Well I was once in a meeting at another site with the owners son and a sales manager. I was expressing some concern that the sales manager was not great at understanding data. Right instead of talking like a bunch of idiots about how you wouldn't buy a car off thorn and his image, let's put things in perspective. Firstly thorn has probably had the worst set of players of any manager since our relegation and yet at times last season got us playing good football, matching the majority of teams we played and losing matches because of a lack of experience and having to rely on mediocre players like bell, platt, clingan, baker and deegan. Secondly he has had no money to spend, compared to people like Coleman who had a mil to spend on eastwood. Thirdly the owners have made no valid attempt to keep our best players king, gunner, juke, cranie, keogh etc. Thorn unlike every other manager since our relegation has tried to play football instead of continuously playing 4-4-2. If we get rid of thorn who else will come in, go on name a manager that will join a club that has owners with no ambition. Also this is a friendly no-one gives a sh*t, real Madrid lost 5-2 to benfica the other day but you don't see the fans calling for jose head. Get behind thorn and the team. One last thing, from reading this forum in recent weeks it is clear to me that many of you have no knowledge of football.

Despite all the bickering of last season pretty much everyone now agrees we have the squad to compete in l1. All of those who like thorn (myself included) should be happy to concede he's not good enough if we aren't challenging for promotion. Dragging up last years debate is totally pointless

Thorn has always been too nice a guy for management, could easily be chief scout at a very big club as his eye for a player is second to none which is why I trust all his signings will be ok and we'll have back to back promotions challenging for the 2016/17 champions league.

Surely if he fails this year with the players it just proves the people who doubted Thorn's management skills last season correct...The same as if he does well it proves people who didn't rate him (including myself) wrong?

Guess so but it was very easy last year to suggest he was poor while we struggled. It was near impossible to make a valid judgement, Awful squad with the inevitable awful results. as others have pointed out people such as Colman achieved little more with a far greater budget. The thing that really gets me is half the people on here seem to revel in us losing just to demonstrate they were right...
