I'm more than happy to wait to see him in action

Prior to Henderson's arrival he was actually kept out of the side by Jamal Blackman for much of the season after the latter initially stepped in following an injury to Moore. But he managed to keep him out of the side even after Moore recovered.

For someone who's happy to wait to see him in action, you seem to spend an awful lot of time putting him down.

Can we all just wait to see him in action, this shit is tedious.

Anyone else think that now Gyökeres has signed a contract, he’ll be the next Roussel….

He wasn’t 31 years old in fairness

I know and I am not 100% serious, just making the point that we are Coventry City, not Manchester City. If we were only willing to sign the kind of players I see talked about on here then we’d have a squad of about 5, and Robins would have to come out of retirement.

In the meantime going by ticket sales we’ll be lucky to get 17k for Forest so people should maybe have a bit of perspective and give people a chance, we’re not deliberately setting out to sign the types of player we do.

How is recounting his career 'putting him down?'
But he managed to keep him out of the side even after Moore recovered.
I'd say highlighting this is putting him down. There's a greater context here, maybe Blackman performed well and took his chance. It can happen when goalkeepers get injured and isn't necessarily a reflection on Moore.

Just seems like a contradiction to me when you say that you're going to wait to see him play, but then also post several comments with a negative slant.

I don't know if Moore is the answer because I haven't seen him play yet. Let's give the lad a chance.

The swans looking for new manager, with cooper being touted over the summer not a suprise, think he won't be out of work long.

Howe or Lampard big favourites as you'd expect. I wonder if they might look at our ex skipper John Eustace though, they were pretty keen on him before appointing Cooper if memory serves correctly.

This whole Moore v Walton debate is pretty straightforward as I see it.
Walton would have been #1 on our list for GK, but would have used more of the budget.
Moore was brought in as they believe he is an upgrade on what we had and allow us to persue signings in other areas of need.
Basically what MR alluded to in his Cov Live interview about "deciding which ones to do".
People on here will have an opinion on who was available and what the budget SHOULD be. MR and his team have to play with the cards they are given, which they have done well on the whole.
Another year of consolidation may see us reaching a bit further in the market hopefully.

Tough gig nowadays being a goalie years ago at 20/21 it was expected keepers made serious threats to be challenging for the first team now mid to late twenties and they are an inexperienced rookie. I suppose given Billson & Tyler’s ages they could both do with being loaned out for a season.

Don't agree. Years ago a keeper wasn't expected to be first team material until late 20's and would play until at least mid 30's. If anything nowadays keepers are expected to be challenging for first team at a younger age apart from at the very top clubs where they send them out on loan until about the age of 25/26.

But now they are expected to be footballers, massive difference.

Maddison to Arsenal could see a cash windfall for us. I understand we have a % of Norwich’s sell on they would receive for him.

It's hardly a contradiction as I've already made my views clear on the fact that Moore's career so far flatters to deceive in parts. However having said that, I don't feel there's a correlation between not being overly convinced whether a signing is an upgrade and writing him off entirely.

By all accounts Blackman had an good season that year therefore dropping him straight off the bat once Moore returned was unlikely given his form. So, it wasn't really highlighting anything, other than it wasn't Henderson that replaced him - as that's not actually the full story and a bit of a myth.
