First problem was our start. You can’t go 0-2 down inside 12 minutes in the Championship. Also, let’s be honest, we’re in 4th on merit but we aren’t a top 4 team.

Weve had a great start and doing well but we have flaws. It’s a tough league. The only consistent team is Bournemouth.
Bitter pill to swallow just throwing a game away like that so needlessly and the use of the bench was again just miles off. What must Walker be thinking really, he is surely gone in the new year.

Allen with just 20 passes (75% completion). He made some good runs but you need more from a central midfielder, way more. Game totally passed him by for large parts.

if we are too 4 we are there on merit

Swansea brilliant.

We look knackered.

Robins baffling with his subs again.

Disagree. He needs game time. He didn't set the game a light but didn't give it away either unlike some others.

If touching the ball a handful of times and doing nothing with it is a positive then our expectations are low

If genuinely hate to be a Swansea fan. All keep ball at a glacial pace and falling over. We should’ve beaten them tonight but so poor with the ball and didn’t look interested half the game.

The trend in our performances is worrying. Look a different team to the first ten games of the season. No energy, no movement, no quality.

Don’t agree at all with not looking interested, looks like a lack of sharpness to me.. whether we’re knackered or what I don’t know, we were well on top in the 2nd half but couldn’t find any cutting edge and ended up almost trying too hard & getting frustrated.

As for trends- that’s going to happen at some stage, hopefully this is our bad patch

Saturdays team selection will be very interesting.

Surely he will freshen it up.

I agree, he needs some first team football and gain confidence in his body and I think the shackles will come off. He's hesitant at the minute though.

Are we talking about Jones here? 2 things for me. Not match sharp due to lack of gametime and my assumption, mental side of what’s he’s been through and it happening again. Same with Robins, as he’s clearly trying to integrate him in whilst reducing risk.

Strange one with Gyökeres and Godden. They have both had decent scoring runs but don't generally seem to play as a partnership. Were miles apart for most of the game tonight and haven't really complimented each other thus far in my opinion.

Makes my blood boil losing to tiny clubs like Swansea convincingly

At least you have slapped your dick out on the table. But considering you think Swansea is only a two inch dick............

He comes on and Walker doesn't, just makes no sense frankly

His first touch and use of the ball is better than O'Hare. You cannot fault O'Hare's involvement but his pass completion must be abysmal. I always feel when we break Allen will pick the right pass most of the time. Who else is in the team can that be said about?

I still think people under-estimate how good their use of the ball was and the impact it had on our team , we worked so hard ,they found pockets of space to beat the oress all game , I'd hazard a guess that players ran more tonight than any game this season .. They looked to have an extra bit of quality in the right areas and defended extremely well in the last 10 /15 to see the game out .

Add to that a very unlucky decision not to give the offside for their second and its all uphill then .

Im not speaking about the substitution tonight. I’m just responding to why I think Jones may have been poor tonight

Well he's hardly had any game time as opposed to the man stuck on the bench and dropped for scoring a goal a game

Yeah I was thinking Joe knackered we looked in the last 5 minutes trying to get the ball off them.

MK Dons had some obscene passing numbers under Martin.

As has been said he pulled away perfectly to receive a cutback from Gyokeres, which never came. He can't affect the poor decision making of his teammates.

So looking at performance trends and not just a bad 45/90 mins, who would you change for Saturday?
Walker in for Gyok / Godden?
Kane for Dabo?
Sheaf for COH and push Allen higher?
Rose for JCS?

I have Walker in mind, probably for Gyok. Some players need a rest. Not best time to do it with the international break coming up.

O hare jad his worst game for us tonight I think.

Yep they made us run all night. So what does MR do to combat our tiring legs...oh yeah leaves it til 89 mins to make another change.

Honestly I love the guy but his substitutions are his biggest weakness surely.

And people say our strength in depth is shite. He signed kane, sheaf, walker in a championship season, use them!

Thing is he puts him on the bench but rarely uses him so he can't get any fitness in U23. Not same intensity I know but more useful than sitting down for 90 mins. If MR is unsure of his ability then give him time in the U23. If he's got what it takes he'll dominate those games.

Swansea just passed us to death and their game management was also excellent - through their ball retention we were dead on our feet and blowing out of our arses after about 50 minutes was never convinced we were going to score at any stage second half if I am being honest and take the sky blue specs off! Subs should have come on far sooner and Walker only coming on after 88 was a bit ludicrous Godden or Gyo could have made way a lot earlier!
