Villa were only saved by relegation the season before last because of that goal line tech fuck up and have been shite this season. I don't think he's as greater manager as people think.

But a good place to learn the job and gain experience Gerrards done well to push Celtic off their perch to second best I have my doubts he will move mid season though.

Always presumed if he performs there consistently he will replace Klopp. I think taking another Premier job in between will presume probably blow his chance.

Liverpool is a massive job, when or even if Klopp leaves unless Gerrard has really proved himself and that would be with premier club I reckon I can’t see him getting that job but you never know

I think Gerrard will be making a huge mistake if he moves to Villa. Smaller crowds, tougher league, no chance of CL football.

As an aside, Lampard would do well to take the Rangers job (if SG moves). Three league titles on the bounce and a few forays into Europe and his reputation rebounds. I always had him down (due to the fact that he is sharp, smart, astute and respected) as a strong future candidate as England manager. If he were to take a no-win job (Norwich, Villa) then his reputation is further impacted.

Rangers posted big losses last week and he was moaning about not having money to spend. I'd imagine he's been given some assurances on that front from Villa.

I actually think long term Gerrard could become an England manager rather than Liverpools will have to see how he does with Villa can’t see them troubling the top four spots.

Gerrard to villa
Russell Martin to rangers.
MR to Swansea...

Did wonder about that scenario myself. That said, after every vacancy, I'm like that; then really happy when an out of work, or manager from abroad gets appointed, as it stops the merry go round for a while.

Why would he want to go from managing in the EPL to managing them? It’d be a major climb down, they’re shite.

I see we have another Scottish football expert, stick to what you know about, that shouldn't take long 😉

I lived there for nearly a decade and watched plenty, Mrs BSB being an Aberdeen fan at the time too. Probably been to a fair number of Scottish grounds you haven’t.

If we played Rangers we’d win
We did play them and lost 2-0 , confirmation itself if any was needed.

Based on what? In his time in Scotland he was 4th in the trophies won chart.
1 trophy from 9 at Rangers, if he wasn't so high profile he would have been gone before last season.
I think he's made a mistake going to villa though, it's done for afewyp and coming managers
