It’s essentially what the covid passes do.

Austria and to a certain extent Germany are going to change policy and effectively ignore passes - France are pretty much going to do the same on boosters for over 65 by restricting travel unless they have it

So Netherlands enter a partial lockdown

Austria are effectively putting non vaccinated people in a severe lockdown and Germany considering extra restrictions on non vaccinated people

I can’t say I support any of it but these things have a habit of spreading round - if it has to be I’d rather the non vaccinated are targeted not the majority

Do you know the figures on how many are unvaccinated here? It isn't many.

This isn't going away.

About 22% all in. That includes kids and those that aren’t eligible/can’t get vaccinated but that’s irrelevant if we’re looking at herd immunity.

Define “going away”. A future where it has little impact is within sight. Get enough vaccinated and keep the boosters up and add in the antivirals that are coming to market and it won’t be something we need restrictions for really.

This is a good graph from the BBC news website. Surely this proves those that aren't jabbed the risk of death is much higher if you haven't been vaccinated, particularly if you're 60+

Also under 70 with the vaccine you are extremely unlikely to die

Well I guess it is shifting sands as there will always be people crossing the threshold into a more advanced age group but you'd think it will run out of targets.
I mean how many over seventies are there? 8M?

9.6K likely victims over that snapshot?

Anyone on here had a booster yet? Those I know who’ve had theirs have all been hit with pretty strong symptoms this time around.

Mrs Wisdom had hers. tbh the biggest challenge was the inept admin of her doctor's! She got a rash for a day which may or may not have been related, but no side effects other than that. My Dad had zero side effects - so much so I wouldn't believe he'd had it, and forced him to show me his NHS record!

Had mine. Felt a bit rough for a couple of days but not too bad, didn’t keep me off work or anything like that.

Can I add at this point that drinking vodka in your house when you have no taste or smell is dangerous.

Written from his bed at 3pm. 🙈

Austria looks down the unvaccinated. It's like Hitler never left.

I'm not sure how anyone can be alright with that. Shame on them.

I disagree with it. But comparing it to the Nazis is nonsense, like those daft unvaccinated cunts in the States wearing yellow stars.

None of this is remotely like the murder of million Jews and other minotities.

This is up there with one of the most ridiculous statements made on here, and that's some achievement.

It’s a trait - I’ve seen apartheid as well.

The irony is the people who protest are the very ones who stand in the way of a return to normal by not pushing for 100% take up

I am not comparing it to the death of a million jews. I am comparing it to the segregation and apartheid that started it all. The link being Austria in both cases.

It is scary and shameful, and frankly anyone that agrees with it should be ashamed of themselves.

The protest in Trieste has led to a major outbreak in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and it’s likely to be going back into having restrictions imposed.

Still nowhere near comparable, that was discrimination based on race and nothing else. Really disappointed to see you sticking with it mate

The best comment I saw throughout this was

'Is it just a coincidence that it's the unvaccinated who are dying and going to hospital?'

You’re comparing a man who ordered the murder of millions of people to a policy aimed at those refusing to get vaccinated for the greater good in a global pandemic.
Get some perspective.

If I hadn´t made that comment the responses on here would still be the same.

People won´t denounce it and it is disgusting.

Really disappointing to see you apologise for such a policy.

Although I am against it adult take up in the vaccine across most countries is poor

These people themselves are selfish and if it’s normality and they face restrictions then it has to be.
