Anyway , crack the champers open , you've all got your wishes ... please remember this day today.. when we are further down the rabbit hole .. the ones who wanted this nonsense .

Upto 75000 people to lose their jobs come March, the very people you all clapped last year .

I don't think anyone's 'in love with vaccine passports'. What I'm interested in is why people who work in hospitals caring after the infirm and vulnerable don't need to be vaccinated against something that could tip such people over the edge.

Would you be OK with them never washing their hands for example?

Well upto now mate , you've all been happy to have them working in hospitals and looking after our relatives ?

Why now is it such an issue almost 2 years on ?

I call nonsense

The vaccine has been available for a year nearly .. why wait until March 2022 ? Are patients immune between now and then

The way some people go on here they are,

it's down to people individual opinions to have the vax or not.

It's abit extreme to try and compare washing hands which is a basic hygiene requirement to having jabs and boosters.

I've thought it should be mandatory for ages. Call me a fascist or one of the bad guys or whatever but if they end up spreading Covid around a hospital because they believed nonsense on Facebook or Dr Bullshit MD and refused vaccination then yeah I'd question their fitness to work in the health service

Vaccination against certain diseases already was a requirement pre COVID

Why are people so hellbent on people losing their jobs ? The very people you all clapped last year ? Weird as fuck because it hasn't bothered people from the day the vaccine released to now ? And they will still be working until March? What measures do they take now that suddenly won't be good enough in March?

It's all bollocks
Are you opposed to other vaccines for healthcare workers then?

If people choose to be vaccinated to pursue a career then that's on them ..

I'm guessing they never invisaged this would happen which is besides the point , nobody should be forced ro do anything .. like i said , its not on my head I Dont want this to happen to these people

1. Nobody is

2. I didn't clap once

3. I've thought it should be mandatory long before now

But it would happen at the moment for other infectious diseases

Based on that then you’d like to remove existing vaccines requirements for healthcare workers then?

I don't understand your point. They are already required to be vaccinated against other diseases so why wouldn't you include covid?

My GF was forced to have vaccines to work in the NHS (after working in another trust) despite already getting them in Italy and in the other trust, weird there were none of these protests then considering it’s been going on for ages.

Sickboy laughs , weird as these people have been working in that environment unvaccinated for a year almost.. yet nobody really has said anything and we are all talking about the tremendous job they do and strain the NHS is under ... yet we are about to cause more strain , and tell people they suddenly can't do the job anymore .

Yea course you didn't mate , like I said , many on here claim to be the good guys , I really think that's a massive stretch

...except I genuinely didn't. Unvaccinated the risk of bringing in a highly infectious and to vulnerable people deadly virus when there's been a jab available for a year is too high.

I don't want people to lose their livelihoods but I also don't want people losing their lives full stop. You tell me which is more important

They have. Plenty of times. For care homes as well as the NHS.

Thanks mate but I’d rather listen to those I know who work in hospitals, including with covid patients.

Well using your logic , NHS staff must already be responsible for many deaths as there are thousands unvaccinated still .. the measures they currently use are no longer sufficient despite BEING Sufficient for almost a year

50,000+ cases a day at the moment, it's pretty much been 30,000 a day since mid-July

Did I see above that reinfections aren't counted? If so, who keeps getting tested? Lets say on average there's been 40,000 cases since the start of August, that's 5.3million people infected!

There's no gotcha here mate .. People should not be forced to take this vaccination to keep their jobs ... end of story
Wow!

Would you be content for a surgeon with a seriously infectious disease to operate on you or your family? This would be chaos and deadly.

That's not my argument. Persuading people to get jabbed isn't the NHS' responsibility, implementing the rollout is and they've done that part brilliantly.

This was never about 'it's fine they weren't vaxxed before', the hope I assume was always to persuade the remaining staff of the importance and safety of the jab compared to spreading Covid around a hospital. You work in that sector you've got a duty of care to your patients which with a new and even more infectious variant around is violated if you still don't want to accept increased immunity against it.

Call me a bad person if you want for thinking that
