Seems it wasn't actually postponed. Salernitana just decided they weren't playing and didn't turn up but the league never agreed to a postponement.
Udinese named their side and the officials waited 45 minutes for Salernitana to turn up before abandoning the game.

Well it’s transmission is reducing in that scenario, mutations reduce and it becomes an endemic. You don’t even have an argument, a suggestion or anything. You are being boring and parroting the a typical anti vax drivel

Even if you’re right (and history suggests you’re not if you look at polio/smallpox etc) - why would this stop us from aggressively trying to vaccinate as many people as possible? You can already see the huge benefits the vaccine has bought us - why do you prefer to spend your time seeding doubt about them?
I´m being boring? The irony is off the scale on that one.
Again, calling someone an anti-vaxxer because they don´t agree with your idea that you want to force the jab on people is a joke. Why was the game called off today? Because one team had an under 13s womens goalkeeper who didn´t have the jab?
I have never claimed to have the solutions, I have only said that the vaccine on its own is not enough for us to end this pandemic. You have absolutely zero argument against that so just look to make fashionable statements about people who haven´t got the vaccine.
Stop having a pop at each other guys.
And your idea to fix that is to force mandates on people? You are absolutely off your box on this.
The vaccine has and will save lives, I completely agree with that. However, it is not much of a life if you cannot do anything due to restrictions is it? Restrictions that are in place in places and circumstances where nearly everyone has been vaccinated. I expect the UK will hit a lockdown again too, as is in place here. Then what?
People shouldn’t be forced to have the vaccine, agreed. However those who don’t do something to benefit a society could hardly complain if they weren’t able to freely enjoy the benefits of that society - for example the adoption of a vaccine passport (As required for other conditions when travelling abroad). And your idea to fix that is to force mandates on people? I find the stance offensive in all seriousness - it’s callous, misinformation and dishonest. There’s a few who peddle it and I know people find it upsetting. If I was in charge of the forum there’d be a warning and once the Nazi twaddle enters the arena it’s a ban
You really are a moron.
Stick to stalking people in hired transit vans.
I’ve never said that. There isn’t a large country in the world where nearly everyone has been vaccinated. Millions in this country haven’t for a start.
You don’t have an answer and your biggest contribution was to compare modern Austria to the Nazis-really you’re embarrassing yourself more with every post. Just log off and take a break for a bit
A comment about forced mandatory vaccines is worse than mandatory vaccines themselves? The only one embarrasing themselves is you.
I. Didn’t. Argue. For. Mandatory. Vaccines.
I've thought it should be mandatory for ages. Call me a fascist or one of the bad guys or whatever but if they end up spreading Covid around a hospital because they believed nonsense on Facebook or Dr Bullshit MD and refused vaccination then yeah I'd question their fitness to work in the health service

I think the only one that needs to log off is you.
I agree that we should vaccinate people (age ranges aside). My issue is forcing it on people, and those that think this method is a good idea then trying to behave as if they are morally good people.
As I said, people need to get used to the idea of coronavirus always being around. The vaccine might help with it, but it does not look like it is going to end it for good the way we are going. The whole vaccinated versus unvaccinated war that has been started is just a distraction and does not help.
The thing that is a bit weird is how you complain about the restrictions but then, in a roundabout way, go on to defend those who are refusing the vaccine.
The point of restrictions is to stop the health service being overwhelmed with serious covid cases. The majority of those serious cases are in the unvaccinated, so if those people had the vaccine, there'd be much fewer serious cases, the health system would have less to deal with and so restrictions wouldn't be needed.
As far as I can tell there are three options:
1. Mandatory vaccination
2. Restrictions/lockdowns across the board when cases get too high and the health system will struggle to cope
3. Restrictions on those refusing to get vaccinated to reduce the number of serious cases and give the health system a chance to cope
I'm all for letting people make their own choices, but if you make that choice there are consequences that come with it. If someone wants to have the right to refuse the vaccine then society should have the right to place restrictions on them to protect others.
It isn´t really weird. It is a pretty normal point of view. I do not believe there should be restrictions when we are talking about the hospitalisation and death figures we are currently seeing, and I also believe it is disgusting to want to force someone to have a vaccine when they don´t want it. It makes almost no difference for younger people, but because there is a vaccine war, people don´t seem to want to tackle this. Personally, I do not have a lot of sympathy for a 70 year old refusing the vaccine as it has a good chance of saving their life, but someone who is 20? It is a totally different situation. This needs to be taken into account when discussing the numbers.
If the whole world is vaccinated, we will still see restrictions with this current mindset, so I think we need to get away from this false utopia where it is believed everyone will get the vaccine and corona will go away. Certainly though, people who want to force others to have it are not good people and this whole battle with the unvaccinated is serving as more of a distraction in my opinion. I disagree wholeheartedly that calling people idiots (Tony Blair today) and immoral (Archbishop of Canterbury today) will do absolutely any good in getting those skeptical to go and get a jab either. With rumours of a fourth now being needed, it is becoming a bit of a joke. We will still be here in another two years regardless of how many people have had their scheduled jabs or not and I think we need to start thinking of realistic ways of getting on with life without relying on it as the only get out.

The vast majority of medical experts and scientists disagree with this, the benefits of the vaccine have clearly outweighed not getting it. (In Bold)
And I know it's been point out numerous times but just to cover it again. Hospitalisations and deaths take weeks to follow increases in infections. So while the increase has been seen for about 3 weeks now it doesn't mean that we won't see an increase over the next 2/3 weeks. But if we wait until we do absolutely nothing until we have that data you then risk 1000's more lives for the sake of what has been pretty basic mitigations in England so far.
But even if Omicron is milder (fingers crossed as it is looking hopeful that could be true), let's say by 50 % considering we are heading for over double the number of infections we had this time last year (at this rate) we are still at risk of overwhelming the NHS, as it cancels out. It's not just about covid at that point it's everybody else that doesn't get care because people can't handle a few restrictions over winter.
Yawn
Thats shit for you to have to spend Christmas alone doing fuck all but if everybody was vaccinated then governments would be less inclined to lock the rest of us down to protect the vulnerable.176 people in the Netherlands have died of covid under the age of 50 in two fucking years. My Christmas is cancelled and I will spend it completely alone with everywhere closed as well.
Sorry, but statistics can be used in any which way, and people have lost complete perspective of this.
Why are you bored, did you not find anyone out and about to stalk and follow around town today?

Your anger is directed at the wrong people and you're trying to have your cake and eat it a bit with this argument.

Best wishes and I hope you get through it okay.

Sorry to hear that. Is your wife not even going to be with you?
This is the first Christmas I’ve not been working for three years and I’m doing fuck all as well!
it doesn’t say what proportion of people in ICU have been vaccinated, or what proportion of deaths are vaccinated either.
