Whats his size and weight got anything to do with playing the game and having talent. Absolute dinosaur thoughts. How do you know he’s not strong?

At his age, banging in the goals for the U23s is all he can and should do and I for one, thinks he deserves a chance.

If he’s good enough, he’s big enough.

Going off what the coaches have said and from watching him play.

Sick of hearing the "Tavares needs a chance" bollocks.

Hes 21, about 8 stone wet through and because he's scored 4 against Solihull B team people want him in the first team. This isn't football manager, I get you want to bring through an unknown youngster who will tear up the championship because he got 2 goals and an assist against Barnsley reserves, but fact is, he isn't big enough. The coaches know when he's ready. "Worth bringing on for the last 20 mins surely"

Why?
Do you still think he’s shit mate ?

That complete silence in anticipation just after it leaves his boot is a thing of beauty. I'm sure I heard the swish as it hit the net!
I can't remember a celebration like it at the Ricoh for a long time.

Up there with that Preston game when we won in the jpt.

I've been calling for him to be given some minutes over the past few weeks due to circumstances and part of that was he puts chances away.

But at the same time can we not now go overboard expecting him to start etc. He has pace and can find the net but is still quite raw and inexperienced. Those assets work best against tired legs, so let him use them then. Give him 20minutes or so to have a free run at them. Let's not have a clamour for him starting then cries of 'flash in the pan' if he fails to reproduce that magic.

He needs to be blooded more than he has been (only came on today because O'Hare was in danger of going to the Winter Paralympics with Preston's treatment and scandalous lack of protection from the ref) but let's not just throw him in at the deep end with some hope/expectation he'll take us to the play-offs.

what a strike tav. made the most of his chances so far. it’s clear that he’s talented and we need to start giving him longer cameos, especially over Waghorn who’s been about as effective in front of goal post injury as Pompey Walker.
