Really pleased for him, great first touch to make the space and fantastic finish.

After last weeks great ovation, scoring today and the praise from MR post match, his confidence must be sky high.

I wouldn’t start him, and I don’t think he can play as a lone striker, but next game he needs 20-30 minutes to use his pace against tired defenders. His first instinct is to run behind and he plays off the shoulder - we don’t have anyone else like that.

It’s an impressive way to announce yourself, but let’s not expect too much. He’s young, inexperienced and still learning. But he’s certainly an exciting option and I’m looking forward to seeing him in more than just a cameo.

I think for Taveres what and how it happened today was perfect, I know a lot have said he should have come on sooner maybe he should have but to come on as he did 4 minutes left and to create and score that magical goal snatching an unlikely point from the jaws of defeat will have done loads for his confidence, that result today is what I call a winning draw brought about by him.
