It’s random people blather on about whataboutery yawn yawn

There is a basic reality here. Sanctions are fine but if they fail what then?

We let Ukraine slug it out with Russia and that’s really if. This isn’t our problem. It’s never going to be and we have zero loyalty or dependence on Ukraine - there should never be any uk soldier defending Ukraine it’s nonsense

Well there basically is where I disagree.

But ever military expert disagrees with you and anyway it’s irrelevant as we can’t be involved unless that occurs

I disagree that Ukraine should just be left to its fate and that’s that. Considering the sheer size of the country alone

So you would favour military intervention

Does this mean no Russian being able to get the true news from anywhere else at all?

Or would VPN's work? Any other way of connecting to the outside world?

9 pages of constant bickering in the last 24 hours on this thread. That must be some kind of forum record

Grendel’s coming up on his 12th straight hour, this is elite level endurance posting on a Sunday, real-life family and friends nothing more than a distant memory.

Got to love that phase two of the plan to support Ukraine is “support Ukraine”

Reminds me of the 2016 classic:

Over 4.5K arrests at anti war protests across 64 cities in Russia....

....quickest way to stop the war is still the removal of Putin... hopefully those is the shadows act asap
If they keep arresting people and people keep turning up, they are going to run out of jail space aren't they and the court system will get clogged up.

As part of a UN or NATO force yes. As we did in Yugoslavia which I assume you also think we should have just stood by and ignored.

This isn't a gotcha argument-people do not join the armed forces if ultimately they do not expect to face combat and potentially die in service.

So if nato say no it’s no?
