Unless he truly has lost his mind, he definitely won't invade Poland. His army would get utterly obliterated and even he knows that (as I say, unless he has literally gone insane).

Absolutely no chance would they go into Poland. They would get their arses handed too them, would give the west the opportunity to 'reunite' Ukraine and even expand the Ukrainian boarder into the Russian oil fields. Give control of the Volga to the Ukrainians. Pro Western government in charge of the oil, as well as cutting off Russian access to the Black and Caspian sea's.

He won't. He knows full well he couldn't take on NATO, as do his generals, and more importantly there's no strategic reasoning for invading a NATO member.

Hmmm, I obviously don’t know for sure but I’d be surprised if ex special forces didn’t know what they were getting into in terms of aircraft attacks etc. That hum dunkin (and a few other posters) are making out that ex army volunteers did a runner at first sign of trouble but reading some of the accounts it appears that they weren’t even being give equipment/weapons to defend themselves when the base was under attack. If that’s the case I’m not surprised they left.

I have had this conversation this end and come to the conclusion that I would join a protest and I would have done the thing with trying to push back the military vehicles etc and I would be up for bunging the odd Molotov cocktail or sniping. I couldn't do what that women did just then though and I couldn't go into hand to hand combat
I would like to think I could go into intelligence, but reckon they would just laugh at me.

Nice to see you acknowledge that the Tories lie, seeing as establishment and fair play are two of the things they bang on about all the time (but obviously don't truly believe in)
