Labour/left leaning papers were doing with the initial FPNs issued to Sunak and Johnson, now right wing papers/Tories are trying to take advantage of the Starmer situation.

I’ve said before, whilst I understand peoples justifiable anger/upset at potential rule breaking, I’d rather both sides focus on the post pandemic shitstorm that’s developing here and around the world and how we’re going to get ourselves through it

2. The rules were illogical and unclear
3. The SoS had excessive power to make those rules without any proper oversight
4. Fines for similar breaches should be compensated by the government through a special scheme
