He may only need 181 votes but this might run closer than people think. It certainly doesn’t sound like MP’s are running around him in support.

Most Tory MPs which will vote in favour of Johnson will be on the Government Payroll, as what has already been pointed out. Let's say 163 MPs, as what JRM said when May had a leadership election. 359 Tory MPs in total, which leaves around 200 Tory MPs who aren't.

Around 60 Tory MPs have already submitted letters of no confidence, leaving 140 Tory MPs left, give or take a couple.

To get around 160 MPs to vote against Johnson tonight will be a huge result.
