It was meant to be about not sharing with anyone. As I keep saying, most of my life I haven’t used communal areas like that because I find it uncomfortable-so I exercise the right I already have.

that’s not what you said I’m afraid

Truss had worse delivery (including making her closing remarks to the wrong camera). She was abysmal.

It's clear the right wing press want her because she'll be easily malleable. But my god she'll embarrass herself and her party at every opportunity.

She's the best choice for Labour though.

Lol your mate tugenhat would be the best - what a plank he is

Sunak is the only one I found remotely credible, but then he and Truss were the only ones actually giving examples - Truss's examples were bollocks (although applying interview metaphors, she'd have stormed one of them!) and Sunak may have won me over just by calling the rest of their tax cut promises fantasy. At least he showed some teeth!

I’ll say this quietly, but I agree with Truss about Covid debt being a long term emergency spending like the war and shouldn’t be paid off in any short timescale. But TBH I have no idea what the current plan for it is and she could be talking bollcoks. Sunak is a Thatcherite, he’ll keep taxes on the working man to pay down debt but still cut spending and taxes for the rich.

The fact they’re all spouting standard Tory economic rhetoric to fix a problem they’ve been in charge of for 12 years is frustrating though what do you expect I suppose? Would’ve been nice to hear the word productivity once though.

Sunak was miles ahead in terms of debate and rewind the last labour leadership he’s miles ahead of their performances

I was surprised how dominant he was - his problem is he looked at everyone else as if they were complete retards - then again.
Yeah, he's cursed with a naturally smug face!

I only caught the end of the debate so didn’t really see Tom Tugenhat speak other than his closing statement. The best description I’ve heard of Truss is she looks like someone in constant amazement that she’s remembered her own name and the Thatcher tribute act is just weird. Sunak talking like he was never part of the problem is unsurprising but worrying as it smacks of someone who can’t take responsibility for their actions. Mordaunt to me looks like the safest pair of hands but in the same sense that Burge would look the safest pair of hands in a line up of goalkeepers if all the other goalkeepers were over 45 years of age, over 18 stone, played for their local pub on a Sunday and sank two pints before the game. Badenoch just seems interested in proving she’s not woke.

Whoever ends up in No. 10 we will be the ones that suffer as a result. They’ll all be fine and dandy and so will their influencers/donors/backers.

So again, the suggestion being that women should be inherently suspicious of a trans women having an untoward motivation for transitioning in the first place?

Why whenever you post do I see an image of Benjamin Butterworth in my head?

Because you don’t live on an island of one person, you’re part of a society and if society suffers you will suffer in some way.

So the whole of society but me will suffer? Really?

“society suffers” how does that mean I suffer it’s not hard
On the simplest of levels crime. In times of financial difficulties for society the crime rates go up so your chances of being a victim of crime goes up. Investment in infrastructure goes down which effects everyone regardless of status. The bin men go on strike you suffer. Railway workers go on strike you suffer. The economy stalls you suffer etc etc etc

This surely can’t need explaining to you. You’re a grown man who considers themselves superior in intelligence to pretty much every poster on here. Kind of ironic that you think you’re immune to the effects on society.

Literally anyone could defeat her. She's beyond useless and doesn't have 'Get Brexit Done' to fall back on like the equally useless incumbent.

So a crushing defeat is a landslide Labour victory? Or who else? Ed Davy?

As a woman, if I am expected to share a changing room with a transwoman (who possesses male genitalia) why shouldn't I also accept sharing said space with a man?
You are asking me to accept on trust that inside the head of one is a female mind, but inside the other is a male mind.
Bollocks.

The answer lies in providing cubicles / sports for a third category "trans".

I don't think transwomen are any more likely to be predatory than any other person but I don't want to see adult male genitalia if I'm getting changed.

As a side note, women are already expected to share these spaces with children, including boys, disabled men and women and baby change facilities in many places.

To be honest, I don't want to see male genitalia either.
