Looks a bit patchy especially compared to the usual standard of pitch before the first match of the season is played.

Also very hard to tell from that view. Bit of green paint and it will look like a carpet eye level on. Not looking forward to seeing it from row VV. Be amazed if the ground staff can turn it round before Sunday. When does the clogging Olympics finish?

Well, watching on telly tonight and the pitch really does look pretty bad. That must have been flooded each day of the tournament to get in that state.

To sum up: We're fuming about something we don't own not being wrecked?
We need something to moan about and blame for when we lose or play shit.
Yesterdsy we played on a carpet didnt help us much.
It was so and so is out of position blah blah blah.
I want us to win as much as the next person get upset when we lose but ffs we all make mistakes.
We are Coventry City after all
PUSB...

It seems Neils has become somewhat more conciliatory - Heathen thinks Coventry must have had a lot of rain recently - and Shugs just thinks that wasps have no obligation to repair the pitch

Interesting read, but as is alluded to there, if it's already in a poor state, and with a combination of rugby and football about to start, the potential for a dreadful pitch/injuries is more than a little worrying. Can't believe that MR (and opposition managers) will be complaining about it (especially after defeats/injuries) Real shame, as the 'style' of football we want to try and play may well be affected. Let's hope the atmosphere /results are enough to override the issues, but I'm struggling to think of really poor quality surfaces at this level.

One positive - we managed ok on this pitch !

Might be necessary to do a couple of sessions on it to get accustomed.
Oh wait it's Friday afternoon

You lot are like a bunch of old women sometimes.
There are no scrums,no mauls and no rucks. The pitch will not cut up as much as it will playing football on it.
So take a chill pill and calm down.
Oh, games are over for today. Pitch looks fine.

From The Sun:

But Coventry manager Mark Robins has been left furious and insists there is no way they can play.

He said: "We've been badly let down, professional players cannot play on that.

"Hopefully we can do something to bring it upto standard."
