Update on this from March 2021 would be good, as we’ve seen renting from a rugby club who couldn’t give a fuck about us isn’t the way forward:

Coventry chief executive Dave Boddy has confirmed the club will continue with plans to build a new stadium, despite announcing a return to the Ricoh Arena.

“The deal is for 10 years with a break clause at seven years, which accounts for the club and our owners’ aim of developing a stadium of our own with the University of Warwick and at the same time giving us stability.

With respect I don’t but he’s not a championship level Head of Business - is he?

Even he can’t deny relations are now falling apart with our landlord and we have no plans for anything else.

8 years and it’s back to the beginning.
Yeah and your agenda has gone hard since you had Maton round for tea.

Funny that.

There is no agenda. Do you think a lot of people are now sharing these concerns?

Are you not interested in any plans beyond the leasehold expiry?

Clearly needed a couple in there, one earlier to account for delivery on provision.
Easy to say now though, but very trusting in reality.

You have no agenda against boddy? Ok then.

You are going to pretend to get angry at him for selling hyam who you slate every week.

Does he consider it professional to keep box holders in the dark when he knew there was an issue? Beyond the immediate financial consequences, what does he think are the longer term ones of doing so?

Further to that, does he accept that it makes his narrative ref: the pitch harder to accept? Would he himself accept that the timeline of events suggests we adopted a similar approach to pitch as we have executive boxes?

As the new stadium is still Plan A, when, if ever, will we see some movement on this? As an aside, I refuse to accept the these things take time answer, when we've already had nearly a decade to see no movement... Further to question one, is the plan to hope for the best until the current deal for the CBS runs out?

What does he feel he could do better, given the present circumstances?

He is the senior person at the club and seemingly the only contact through to the owner

Out of 10 how would you rate his performance this summer?

It's OK, keep denying it.

You are going the same way as Italia and CJ where you do U turns depending on your own personal business interests. Hope Kevin and his fancy chain helps you out.

Every thread you want to make it about Boddy.

This is ridiculous - as I’ve said numerous times I’ve met several councillors over the years including mutton and Lucas as well. Also back in the day Ken Taylor - so what?

I never introduced myself as Grendel off Sky Blue Talk to any of them.

I’ve criticised Boddy since the move to ast Andrew’s

And yet you were saying 15 minutes ago that we shouldn’t even be asking him questions.

We get the club we deserve.

I said there’s no point. There is no point they’ll carry on doing what they do and I can’t see a single thing that will change it

How is it ridiculous? You are calling people SISU Cocksuckers while you are schmoozing with Maton because he has a shiny chain and can help with your business. Surely you see how silly that looks?

I will have to see him some more to be honest, haven't caught up with the box stuff but seems like he's had a Moore shocker with that.

"Out of 10", fucking hell you are obsessed. It's not like he's a player where you can judge them solely what's done on the pitch on a matchday.

I’m not shmoozimg with anyone. I haven’t altered my opinion on Boddy and the owners from season two at at Andrew’s well before a 10 minute handshake with a councillor.

The thing is you never seem bothered that the club has numerous off field issues and financial problems as well as a decreasing lease with a yet again soured relationship with the landlord.

Many people are and it is slightly higher in priority than how Simon Moore plays today

It must be completely exhausting living in your world

Boddy is at the same time both a powerless yes man, and an unaccountable overlord single-handedly running the club into the ground.

Hyam is at the same time both a dogshit chancer playing out of his depth in the Championship, and a crucial cog in a team who we simply cannot afford to leave without a replacement.

Of course there are ways where both statements can be true at the same time. But the sheer force with which you attack both sides of the argument depending on which way the wind is blowing…..no wonder you drink 14 pints to yourself on a matchday.

Ok so you haven't had them round to your business?

Can you see the irony in calling people sisu cocksuckers when you're playing Shakey hands with people like Maton because it helps you?

Boddy does as he’s told - it’s not difficult - he is a yes man who does exactly as he’s told and has no power and influence over anything other than the commercial running of the football club - which he doesn’t do well.

I have actually said none of the hyperbole you have stated

Sisu run the club as they want. Boddy doesn’t sit on the board. The clubs MO hasn’t really changed for 10 years and now is operating as it did in the last season of the championship - a fans forum will change nothing

Ok so you haven't had them round to your business?

You know I have - he doesn’t know it is me in here and I said about two words to him. You know I have as I told you on a DM

He came across as pretty dim to be honest

Definitely things within his remit so should be asked!!

The new stadium isn’t in his remit he’s made that clear to Pete before

Without trying to be funny is there much point. No one trusts a word he or his cronies say. He’s lost the dressing room.
No one is forcing you to respond or ask questions. Or even to read or believe any responses!
One could argue it really isn’t good timing to front up but you won’t see it that way and that’s fine

The Hyam sale appears to have come out of the blue and certainly not one that many saw coming. Was this a consequence of the recent cash flow issues attributable to the pitch not being playable? Would the bid have been accepted had the aforementioned not occurred? Will the money be reinvested in the playing squad?

Also, why has Robins not been backed in the market and what are the plans and hopes for the season ahead? Assumedly scraping survival?

The previous spiel of incremental improvement, going away from loan players and developing our own assets appears to have fallen by the wayside. Why?

On away tickets can you ask him why it seems the club delay the sale of away tickets compared to other clubs? Also why limit to one per person when on general sale?

While it is laudable to try and make the distribution of away tickets fairer, it is still important to sell as many as we can to support the players so we should be trying to avoid any unneccessary obstacles or barriers to maximising our support.

In the end the ground issue is overall clearly the most important but he won’t answer that will he? He’s previously said that’s an owners project

My take would be he has progressed brilliantly but was inconsistent last season all be it a regular starter for us
I think all our players are up for sale at a price that is considered suitable
In order to invest significantly we need to sell at a large profit and it seems like it was Ohare but he got injured
Given the pitch lack of home games and World Cup this really does affect our ambitions. Fight with relegation I hope not

Actually there is a question - get a detailed response when the new pitch is going to be laid down - a timeline as that could be interesting

I’ll ask and he’ll answer but although I’ve been told progress is being made and the university people are really supportive and positive I think it’s utter bollox
