Surely past that
How will your school cope with a tripling of utility bills
I would imagine by laying people off, usually support staff, then getting teachers to fill in the gaps

And actively looked down on people that look to live that kind of life demeaning and belittling them and then blaming themWe've spent over a generation telling people the metric of success is how much money and stuff you've got. Now we can't find people who want to do jobs which aren't particularly highly paid and much of the rewards are intangible as it's based on providing a service and helping people rather than enriching yourself. Who'da thunk it?
And no one would blame you. I always used to say to my wife what happened if people worked to rule and said no or I can but this won’t get done but ultimately the kids pay. The profession isn’t sustainableIt relies on a lot of goodwill, but when that translates to a 60 hour working week for both of us to manage the workload, if somebody offers you far better work life balance in exchange for a bit less money, yeah I’ll take it.
Speed ‘restraint’ is there to help everyone get places in a timely manner. The nobs who drive 120 mph on roads usually end up a few minutes late for meetings anyway. On motorways in certain areas that actually makes sense

It’s ludicrous to spend time on too given the shit show happeningSpeed ‘restraint’ is there to help everyone get places in a timely manner. The nobs who drive 120 mph on roads usually end up a few minutes late for meetings anyway.
Understood. Our society needs a resetSeveral times a month the wife will break down in tears over how much she has to do that there isn't physically enough time for. You lose time and energy for each other, and management will be at best naive or at worst exploitative over the extras they ask of the staff. The long holidays are really just giving you back all the extra unpaid overtime you did during term time.
So we both want the balance to be right in the first place and it might pay a bit less but that's a price I'm fine to pay.

Also I volunteer at a prison and it all set up for retired people when the skills we need quite a cross section of society, as a for instance we have a regional meeting on Monday that some bright spark has arranged for 11am and then got cross cause our board won’t be representedSeveral times a month the wife will break down in tears over how much she has to do that there isn't physically enough time for. Snowflake Britain. They’re mocking us.
'Volunteer at a prison'. Is that what you say to explain why you keep on having to go back every nightAlso I volunteer at a prison and it all set up for retired people when the skills we need quite a cross section of society, as a for instance we have a regional meeting on Monday that some bright spark has arranged for 11am and then got cross cause our board won’t be represented
Mrs. JAM See went to supply teaching for this very reason.Several times a month the wife will break down in tears over how much she has to do that there isn't physically enough time for. Yes, she only gets paid during term time, but with a bit of planning financially, she's made it work for her.
She's now got a regular four day a week gig, but doesn't have all the other crap to deal with.
It is scary hoping they will let me out each time'Volunteer at a prison'. Is that what you say to explain why you keep on having to go back every night
Why not our country is the laughing stock of world relations anywayApparently the Mirror is running a story that there’s a band of Tory MP’s and Boris cult members already got letters of no confidence drafted to send in as they want Boris back.

So just reading up on Truss’ history and it turns out she’s anti-monarchy and in favour of nuclear disarmament. Imagine if Corbyn…
Somewhere you have to have a set of core beliefs though. Pragmatism / changing circumstances might mean you need to take a different approach to reach your end goals, but you have to have a clue what those end goals are!Not quite sure what she truly believes. I like politicians who aren’t wedded to ideology but think she takes that bit far !
I just hope her policy is focussed on the country not the shat she was throwing at the members

It would appear that her core beliefs are whatever gives her power. So they are always liable to change and be imbued with populism and nationalism.Agreed and I’m not sure what hers are…I’m not sure she knows what hers are or when they might change again

So it was a mere 140,000 in the end
Strange this democracy lark ain't it.
