Well mortality will no doubt shorten given the likelihood of reasonable treatment hardships etc ,then given all the signals towards the young why would you procreate.

I did say I would retire from the thread if she’s elected - she’s from a Corbynist family who once wanted to abolish the monarchy - its a reflection on politics - if Labour do not win an outright majority with her in charge then it’s truly a reflection on Starmer

I think it’s more likely to be the other way round and the red robbo tribute act Union man in the mockney accent is now the Tories only hope. A big Union general strike is what they need to get back support

Brexit was meant to bring a break from all this nonsense of managers running the country instead of ideologies.

I don't see how that can be seen as anything other than a government failure to act. One union here or there perhaps, but for so many sections of the workforce to all strike over the same issue reflects badly on the Tories, not the workers

It's a bit hard to co-ordinate with how strong the anti union laws in this country are. I've said before, the teaching ballot will probably fail on turnout thresholds that are curiously never required for local or general elections, which also don't force people to vote by post.

I watched a documentary about world population growth suggesting there will be a big increase in Africa over next 50 years - looks like we will be hosting them in Europe to make up for population and workforce shortfall in the future.

This is the first job I have ever had that has union representation and it’s fantastic, they are currently negotiating for us an inflation busting pay rise (this would never happen without them) they also keep idiot managers under control. It’s just a shame that more of the staff aren’t in it but fortunately the drivers are.

She can keep her hands off our union rights.
