Has London Bridge fallen ? (10 Viewers)

Yeah, I do hope Charles, given his known interest in environmental issues, can use his influence to sort out stopping all the sewage that's currently going into our waterways.

Of course he'll be up against the profiteers of the tory party and the water companies so I won't hold by breath.

That's exactly what you should do, if they don't get it sorted.

Not really appreciating the BBC telling everyone how they should be feeling.
Commercial Radio had either melodic music by likes of Coldplay (!) or broadcast Pierce Morgan on Talk TV ! It was a total embarrassment referring constantly to scandal and the problems in her family life within an hour of her death. I'm not a royalist but that was in incredibly bad taste and I bet they received massive complaints. BBC have handled it impeccably, and balanced it nicely with respect and constant battle of a few public bandwagoners trying to get on TV in background !

Justin Trudeau and President Macron have paid some amazingly wonderful tributes and interviews in respect of Queen.

Then there was Truss's formal address which had the heart felt emotions of her cheese and pork market speeches. Her disrespect of Macron and France the other day has not aged at all well.

Not sure now is the time to judge how people respond of any political persuasion...

Anyway, Poundland have the tribute sewn up

There's a hell of lot more to this than the death of the Queen. It is the conditioning of a nation to accept the smooth transfer of power from one generation to the next. North Korea would be very proud of this.

Whilst I admit, Queenie did a good job in doing nothing other than opening a few glorified supermarkets, just like the other one who died did. It is not the people which I have the disdain for, but the whole idea of being the subject of a group of people which I can't join unless I marry into it, or have the same bloodline.

A Constitutional Monarchy is a wholly archaic concept which should be sent to the scrapheap of history.

My daughter has just pointed out that new money will have Charles face on and was just thinking how it won’t look right, almost like foreign money. Stamps too.
As we move towards a cashless society Charles could be the last monarch to have his face on money

It is all complete bananas isn’t it?
Never change sbt

Counselling numbers

I asked a good friend who was crying what he was upset about as for me the institution underpins the hideous class nature of our society and embeds the privilege of the few at the expense of the many
His reply was excellent
He pointed out that her privilege compared to us is similar to our privilege compared to billions around the world

She used her privilege for good
How do I use mine was my response ??

I like my friends think differently to me

I wouldn't be surprised if most sport grinds to a halt over the weekend.

The peasants must be shown who is in charge of the country and show their respect.

There's a chap who's been shown in the loop on bbc news, who when asked what the queen means to him replies that he sees her as the same as his own mother, i mean come on, that's just ludicrous.

Funeral likely to be the 19th - no sport today - PL and EFL to announce decision on tomorrow’s play today

Apparently the EFL sent some guidance to clubs at 9.30am. EPL meeting with DCMS started 10 mins ago.

Announcements expected lunchtime, potentially as early as midday.

It is and much like the Diana stuff we need to decide who we want to be in our everyday lives not just when we are shunted into a shared grief experience

I am tempted to try to arrange a last minute holiday to somewhere sane for the next week. If only so many flights weren't cancelled. Euorstar prices seem to have suddenly gone up.

How should we be feeling?

I mean, it's a Friday so it's a work day for most.

Apparently completely devastated and flocking to Buckingham Palace, plus the usual "I'm more upset than you" people on the TV.

I'm in a sombre mood today, it's a huge moment in history, but like you say it's a normal work day for most people.

I look forward to being told I don't have to pay tax for a week so I can mourn.

Taking away things people enjoy is just going to piss people off.
