He may well have had deep reservations over the last PM, both for his decision making and his conduct in office but I fail to see how he’s in a position to issue a warning to the new girl. Can’t help but think when he talked about the importance of our parliamentary democracy it was a dig at the last PM and a warning to the new one.
If I'd been waiting 73 years to become King you can bet your bottom dollar you're going to have to prise that crown out of my cold, dead hands. We've got Charles until he dies, then. They really should modernise so the monarch abdicating is no bad thing. He should have been king ten years ago to allow his Mum a dignified retirement, and likewise for him whenever he gets more frail. He's 75 already!
I was thinking specifically about the illegal proroguing of parliament. Boris sent Rees-Mogg there to prey on an old lady clearly lying in the process. It’s perhaps the most shameful act of a series of shameful acts under Boris Johnson. Permission to prorogue parliament is one of the real influences that the monarchy has on our parliamentary democracy. I don’t think it was an accident that Charles brought up democracy, he had no real need to. The warning is clearly that he see’s our democracy as constitutionally important and as our constitution is a gentleman’s handshake not a written one given that Boris tan roughshod over it stressing the importance of it at a time when there wasn’t a requirement I think could be read as clear message of what Charles values and setting his stall out.He may well have had deep reservations over the last PM, both for his decision making and his conduct in office but I fail to see how he’s in a position to issue a warning to the new girl.
The Monarch possesses no real power, all political decisions are made by the HM elected Government.
The regular meetings between the Monarch and PM, the swearing in, the opening of parliament etc are all - like 80% of things that take place inside Westminster and the Royal households - displays of pomp, tradition and pageantry.
You are joking aren’t you, they live amazingly private lives, we only see the rarest glimpse of them and that’s only in their official roles, their untold wealth, worldwide fame and access all areas and their unrivalled security arrangements allows them to lead the most extraordinary, luxurious, pampered & fulfilled lifestyle.Would you want the life they have? I wouldn't, its like a posh version of The Truman Show.

I absolutely agree, but the Queen was in no position to refuse Boris in his proroguing of parliament, she had no power to refuse the request and neither will Charles, approaching the Monarch for permission to do so is just following protocol, the political decision had already been made.I was thinking specifically about the illegal proroguing of parliament. Why?I think Trevs radio days may be behind him
Trevor Sinclair issues apology as talkSPORT take him off air over Queen tweet
Ex-England international and talkSPORT pundit Trevor Sinclair was criticised for penning a tweet in protest of the monarchy within hours of the Queen's passing on Thursdaywww.mirror.co.uk
Why?
Why?
If he’s prepared to give Meghan Markle a proper slating I reckon the Talksport listeners will welcome him back with open arms.when a convicted racist like Mr Sinclair makes such remarks on the day of mourning I’m not convinced the talk sport listeners will welcome him back with open arms. Are you?

Another fascinating insight into the life of Theresa May still living life in the fast lane.

Always take a fresh tin of paint wherever you go.
Open it and smell it when you get to your destination.
You're part way to the royal experience.
It‘s not that she’s upped her game, it’s more, that her teammates don’t even know the rules.Theresa has upped her game - shame she was the Maybot as PM

Of course it’s wholly inappropriate what he said, and suggesting it was down to mental health is a quite disingenuous tbh.Its inappropriate - why they employed him who knows - I see he’s now claiming it’s down to mental health
I personally think Markle is a narcissist who seems to have fallen out with many people in her family over the years. I couldn’t care less what colour she is - she doesn’t strike me as much of a victim at all
I would put it to you her £456,000 she’s earned on the speaking circuit suggests she has
I did wonder why Major was laughing at Johnson at the ceremony - perhaps as he “didn’t know the rules” and no one really noticed
A huge reward for failing in her original role, pretty much how this country operates. Johnson being an even bigger failure will of course rake in more
Blair was charging £230 grand a speech in 2007 - you got 20 minutes for that.
Well, TalkSport did employ him after his drink driving and racism, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets back in after a bit of Twitter nonsense.when a convicted racist like Mr Sinclair makes such remarks on the day of mourning I’m not convinced the talk sport listeners will welcome him back with open arms. Well with anecdotes like the cheesy queen one I posted above, who wouldn’t pay good money to listen to after dinner gold like that.I would put it to you her £456,000 she’s earned on the speaking circuit suggests she has

Latest update - the drivers have stopped for a piss!BBC now showing drone footage of the ex-queen being driven to Edinburgh.
It's like F1 without the corners.
