Not that anyone needed the data to prove it but here it is:

The bit about Doctors is telling. 30,000 people apply to be a doctor in a year but only 7,500 people get a placement. Investment in the NHS is stalling the number of doctors in the UK not a lack of ambition in the young compared to countries like India.

The case for industry is obvious as well. Again a lack of investment, which has been falling dramatically under the Tories. The longer the Tories have been in power the further investment in the UK has fallen, especially since 2016. For some reason.

Another idea that only benefits a wealthy few and will corrode the rights of the average working man and woman.

I'm getting to the point where I'm going to have to vote for Starmer because despite my misgivings this lot really are disaster for all but a small percentage of the population.
It’s Starmers overriding quality. He’s not a Tory. Well, not a Tory party member ;)

I’m just going to vote tactically next GE. Will probably mean Labour but if by any small chance it’s Lib/Dem I’ll be voting Lib/Dem. Either way living in a safe Tory seat I doubt my vote will count for anything and fully expect Mark Pawsey to get in again.

Vote tactically to either keep the Tories out or kick them out.

Bloody hell listening to Radio 4 and the presenter is a total loon, banging on about trickle down economics and it being a moral thing. They don’t even pretend any more.
The narrative seems to be that the very rich are Viv Nicholson's.

They're not, they're more Ingvar Kamprad's.

Trickle down DOES. NOT. WORK.

I thought he seemed to be sneering at the idea that Governments should act in a moral way. The argument was that morality gets in the way of growth, which in itself is nonsense.

Ah you may be right. But yeah very strange tack to take. Seems the BBC have had their lines though and the gotcha question to Labour will be “why are you so against people getting rich” and not “what’s the best way to grow the economy”

Well they're refusing to publish the economic forecasts. I guess because they've seen them and it doesn't show what they want it to so they'll just ignore it to go with the bullshit that hasn't worked since the 80's yet they desperately cling to.

It doesn't even make sense saying that companies having more money creates more jobs. People buying products and services creates more jobs. If your policies make the vast majority of people have less money, they buy fewer goods and services. And so will more likely cost jobs not create them.

Isn't it about time we tried Spring Up economics rather than Trickle Down?

Her body language gives her away. It’s the head nodding. Just reminds me of this

Such a powderpuff interview too - the alleged ‘journalist’ didn’t challenge one ounce of her bullshit. Might as well have been a party political broadcast.

The devil is obviously in the detail but from what she’s said in interviews she seems completely economically illiterate. She’s been banging on about our debt to GDP ratio desperately trying to justify borrowing by saying we’re not as bad as other G7 countries. Which as a comment in isolation is true but it doesn’t mean we’re doing great. It’s currently at about 81% but we’ve had slow/stagnated growth for a decade, are heading into a recession which is projected to be deeper and longer than comparable countries which is going to increase that number without the extra debt she’s talking about. The country is spiralling and she’s on cloud cuckoo land.
