Surprised to read this. McFadz has been far superior. Doyle had one decent game but generally worries me. Obviously has a lot of talent, of course.

More about how we play as a team without Fadz. I liked us with a higher line.

I haven't looked it up but at HR we did have a decent record against Liverpool in the 70's/ 80's, particularly considering how good they were. There were an awful lot of draws though which were like moral victories. Maybe its Sky Blue tinted specs, but I can remember as many wins as defeats (need to go and look it up now).

Anfield was a different matter though. Regular beatings until Cyrille got a winner at the end of the 80's.

Don't forget the Peter Ndlovu hatrick....
It was the early 90's but I think he was the first opposition player to score a hatrick at Anfield?

Would like to see Palmer and O’Hare behind Vik, really harsh on Allen as he’s been superb, just feel Wigan will sit deep and soak up pressure, so need all the attacking nouse and flair we have to unlock them.

Fuck it, 4-0 City. Can't be doing with this cautious crap. They are going to take a hammering . 4-0 by half time.
I know it’s only your imaginary game and score… but I can’t help feeling disappointed for that second half performance… I mean what the feck happened… did Walker come on at HT or something?

Hello all, apologies for going slightly off topic. I’m planning to bring my father to tomorrow’s match, but he has very recently had replacement knee surgery. Will he be allowed to take his crutch into the ground?
Stick a parrot on his shoulder and tell them he is the entertainment for the family zone, ahrrrr Jim lad.

My Dad was on crutches the whole of last season Hutch. Not a problem.
There are disabled entrances all around the stadium, if you see a steward outside, ask and they'll knock on the big doors and let you and your dad in (there will be someone to scan your tickets).
Will save your dad trying to squeeze through a regular turnstile.

Covs typical pattern over the years I've been a fan:

* Think we'll get hammered by the better teams - Often play well and get a result

* Think we'll hammer the poorer teams - Often play dreadful and lose

Therefore a little concerned about this one. Hoping we get an early goal to assert some pressure early doors. Going for a 2-2 draw. Fadz and Gyo.

Wilson
Rose Fadz Panzo
Eccles Hamer Sheaf Bidwell
O’Hare Allen
Györkeres

Moore, Burroughs, Palmer, Kane, Walker, Tavares, Howley

Agree with the lineup except I’d go Burroughs instead of Eccles, he did much better than Eccles at the weekend and I think he’s earnt the shirt

Yeah Palmer and O’Hare would be the best for sure but it would be too harsh to take the shirt off Allen.
They may even start Palmer and then bring O’Hare on as fresh legs to unlock things later on seeming as he is still only just coming back and Palmer is way more match fit and has been putting in the performances

Got to be confident as long as we aren't complacent.

Could easily argue to keep the team unchanged. Only real one you could say should happen is Kane for Eccles.

Want to see O'Hare and Palmer together but think MR may keep on in reserve just in case. Also a bit unfair to be dropping Allen at the moment. Maybe Bidwell back in but Burroughs has earned the right to get another game.

I think Wigan will be a hard nut to crack , they'll sit in and try to frustrate as much as they can (rather like we have at times this season) so , and this isn't a dig at Allen but I'd like to see Palmer and O'Hare in behind Vik purely for the added creativity

I'd continue with Gyo up there on his own to be honest
Yeah most people would which is fair enough. Just think we will have a lot of the ball anyway without needing the box and having 2 up there might make give us a couple more options around the penalty area

One of the first matches this season where we're expected to win, so I'd rather have a box midfield to not give away any unnecessary counterplay. That said he might pick Walker and let O'Hare and Palmer rest up.

It’s a great problem to have. Allen has shown plenty of the “ nouse & flair” that you crave. Aside from his goals he’s got himself into some great goal scoring positions as well. I think O’Hare is still a little rusty. Lots of energy and running on Saturday but no real threat.

No clean sheet in 6 games, 12 conceded in that time. And a few of the goals in those games have been silly gifts.

So maybe it’ll be a smash and grab 1-0 to them?

Will be disappointed if we don’t win this, I was the Blackpool game but that was more down to the circumstances of the bug which went through the camp. Interesting as to how Robins goes with this I think Bidwell will start and O’Hare for Palmer who looked to me had a little knock Saturday.
Has the threat of five yellow cards and a game ban gone yet ?
blackpool have been hit with it as well! looks like 3 points away wasnt the only thing they got from that game LOL

Is Eccles suspended for tonight ? Not sure I heard correctly. Been impressed with his improvement considering he's playing out of position. I thought he's done pretty well so far this season.

I just hope we score an early goal, which will allow us to counter attack for the rest of the game. It's teams that "park the bus" in front of their goal that cause us problems
