Still doesn’t explain why a late bid went in. Surely that was noise MA didn’t need?

Also Doug talked about ”trust” with Joy Being an important factor, so is she in on this also? If not, BD has given her ammo to stop the sale?

still lots of questions…
This is what gets me, are SISU in on this play and if so why.
If they’re not and it is a plan by Ashley & King to outwit and get shot of them, can you imagine Joys reaction when the penny dropped…….

I think Joy knows it's a good deal for her whoever knows about it

Tbh if someone as low down as me in the food chain has heard this its likely the main players all know and have agreed whatever the strategy is
All guesswork for us at present

Maybe the big play is Joy getting back at the council? By retaining 15%, she still gets the satisfaction of owning (a bit of) the CBS when MA buys out King...

Agree with this. The talk of 25m wound up bondholders even more and put massive pressure on the judge. It could easily have scuppered the whole MA deal

If they do all know each other, could it be that Ashley flips the stadium to King, King sells the club back to SISU, (perhaps keeping a healthy share) and CCC are completely outmaneuvered?

Well if the plan is to get to the PL the 15% would be worth a lot more than it is now
Then they could cash out
All supposition but it makes business sense
In the meantime as King owns 85% he cam make virtually any decisions he likes
It could explain the last minute deal to buy the club

It's all pretty murky but I heard this from someone with connections throughout the football world
They said King is Ashley's front man
Maybe there is an intermediary between them so King can honestly say he doesn't know Ashley?
Machiavellian is the word that springs to mind but we'll know soon enough if what I heard is true

How about the rumours Richardson is in someway in the Arena Newco? It is understood they both have businesses set up in offshore Malta

The Bondholders dropped their case the day before on advice from their own lawyers

MA wanted DK to make that offer. There was no way DK's offer could be verified in time, but it gave MA the chance to say "if you don't take my deal right now I'm walking away". So he gets it for the price he wants, because the other way is to risky..

Eh?

Surely it’s even riskier with no bid on the table??

I suppose we may know more if we see anything actually change in the structure

New board, new CEO etc. perhaps given her “knowledge” of ccfc and the fact she “no longer” owns the club Seppala will become MD

There would be a logic in keeping Tim Fisher around mind you...

And as the upturn of the last few years has happened he's started to look more gaunt and dishevelled.
Think there's some weird Dorian Gray type thing going on with him and the club.
Get to te EPL he'll look like ET.
He strikes me as more Durian than Dorian these days

Apologies. The 5 years before that however…
If we're looking at his time at the top, he only became chairman in 2015 so you can have him responsible for relegation to bottom tier, but did take us to Wembley while he was at it. Also gave us the Mowbray season.

I thought he first came on board in 2012 and signed off on Northampton and the rent strike?
