Eviction notice (24 Viewers)

Could it be the case that SISU simply doesn't have the funds available to sign a new lease even if it's on similar terms? HMRC payment is due very soon and they have been vocal about cash flow issues.

Would a new agreement, even on similar terms, involve any upfront payment or deposit?

"Wasps had identified major issues at the stadium meaning it needed (at Least £20m) spending on it. That is why he got it so cheap"

What's the problem with your ground

Does it? I'm not sure you can be 100% certain about anything at the minute mate.
Does 100% confirm that the only advantage over our current owners if he were to take us over is that he's a bit more solvent.

Course it does , what's his plan ? Make it an ice rink

He wants the club , there's never been a bigger show of that than now
If I had to bet Id say youre right butI wouldn't discount these change of use rumours given everything that goes on surrounding the club

I think you should listen to Simon Jordans comments this morning on the radio.

He obviously had talks about purchasing the stadium and discussed with those involved the future of the stadium.

He says the council has made deals behind the scenes, granted permissions etc for an alternative use of the site.

Yes it's Simon Jordan, however he wouldn't make this comments if this wasn't true as he would be opening himself up to legal issues.

I think that has to do with Car Park C. There were also permissions for extra retail outlets etc that do not involve altering the use of the stadium.

To actually change its use you need it to be public record though - you can't just do it with nobody noticing.

And you have to ask yourself what benefit that would bring to anybody. Even Brandon gets protests, and the local council being steadfast in not changing use, because local residents don't want it changed.

So who would change of use benefit? It'd be very public dirty linen washing, and that wouldn't help Ashley's businesses, or Duggins's future election prospects. If Ashley were in a different business, I could see how his companies might shrug it off. Really can't see how it would benefit him in the slightest, though.

I still can't see the benefit of whacking a huge warehouse where the stadium is rather than at Ansty?

Planning permission easier or something?

Have to say though, he's currently the preferred choice of owner, even if he is a fantasist. Storey's only second choice because he's a proven fantasist!

Anyone else getting fed up with all the pseudo-intellectuals crawling out of the woodwork who believe they're the new Nostradamus because they vaguely guessed that... 'something bad might happen in the future' regarding our club ?
Now really is not the time to say 'i told you so'...and trying to convince others of your towering intellect.
These are very worrying times, and i just hope that those involved can somehow come to a compromise.
If they cant, then as Pvt Frazer said...'We're all dooomed'

I wouldn't worry about the change of use rumours. If true, they could have been put in place as a contingency. If CCFC ever ceased to exist, or decided to build their own ground at Warwick (😅 ) the whole arena would be a massive white elephant otherwise. It could have been done purely to make the ground more attractive to potential bidders. There is no evidence MA was involved in this.
