I know. It's really frustrating.

Look at them Quatari's, they can throw up a whole world cup infrastructure in no time.

There was a few casualties along the way mind, but hey ho. They got things done.
Don't get where you are coming from with that comment if it's meant to be sarcarm.I would not want to see any worker die constructing anything and with health and safety in this country being so good no reason why they should.I cannot speak for the way things are done in Qatar.I have said this World Cup should never have been played there.

It's not a choice for many, as it's not affordable.

Most US doctors are very critical of their system because the effect is that a large proportion of the population have no access to health care except emergency care. So this means that people either wait until it is too late or clog up emergency care unnecessarily. It is a terrible system and they are very envious of the NHS and European systems.

Also many people find their insurance doesn't cover them when they seek treatment. The insurance companies won't insure people with serious health conditions unless they pay massively. We really do not want a US type system here.

If you go to the US don't get unwell.
I watched that Michael Moore documentary a while back, Sicko, which is about people with insurance and where the companies refuse to pay, for a variety of spurious reasons.

Huh. I remember getting at least Nuneaton and UHCW options.
It might have changed pursuant to the most recent NHS reorganisation, 'choose and book' was part of the 'patient choice' philosophy which came as a result of the 2012 Lansley reforms some of which have been abolished as of July this year.

I had a pet insurance claim denied in 2019 . They wrote to me about 2 weeks ago (since left this company due to the disagreement over the said claim) and they said they had been audited, and I was actually due to the payment . So nice surprise for me, but lost customer for them. But as said, many use Small print to try to avoid payment , which is not valid

Yeah. Now at Christmas it takes a day before you can play on it

When I’ve got the kids consoles or games I’ve always booted it up before I wrap it just to do the updates/installs and stuff. Nothing pisses me off more than being excited to play a new game and I need to wait an hour for updates.

Just making sure it all works Nick like the caring dad I am.

Learned from my parents, my Mum would even read books she was going to give me just to check all the pages were there of course.
My parents were equally caring. Always tasted my food first, be it at home or in restaurants, to make sure it wasn't poisonous

Woman is pregnant, bloke is moaning somebody else didn't paint the walls with anti mould paint.

Go and fucking buy some and clean up if you think it's so dangerous for your family ffs. Much more effective than compo poses.
Well it sounds like they’ve taken plenty of steps to address something that shouldn’t even have to be their responsibility. You can’t sympathise with them at all during what’s been a tough period for a lot of people financially?

Bro respectfully you have no fucking idea how lucky you are

The comparison shouldn't be UK versus US health system. The world round knows the latter is a shambles.

The problem is that the UK health care system is essentially collapsing and in a lot of senses is no longer fit for purpose. We are in a massive mental health crisis too, and they can't help people. It's run appallingly and has gotten so much worse as the years have gone by. Mismanaged like hell, and with so many people arriving into the UK, the demand is getting higher as the general resources are being cut simultaneously.

Ringing up and whining doesn't fix it.

Instead of being a little bitch, he should be doing everything to look after his family. Scrub the walls, paint them. Job done.

No sympathy at all. Man the fuck up and step up.

If my daughter is going to be poorly because of something I'd have it fixed tomorrow.

Harry & Meghan.

Not paid an awful lot of attention to them, but ended up passively watching the documentary as the missus wanted to watch it. Cannot believe the massive amount of victimhood performance going on. Some of what they went through was hard, no doubt, but they have absolutely zero self awareness and their behaviour is a joke. Narcissism is a fashionable word, but there is definitely some of it there. I'm sure I am not the only one that's ended up watching it and actually liked them less as a result of it.

Surely this can't be the same couple who complained of intrusion and wanted to keep their lives private?

I mean that’s a little like watching a porn star through her bathroom window and claiming it’s OK cos she does porn. Consent matters.

The Mail’s obsessive coverage of them has been unhinged for a long time. I don’t like either of them but its coverage is far from normal.

Seems to me that Meghan is so hungry for the publicity and Harry is like a love struck teenager who will do anything for her affection

Regardless of them wanting publicity like
most celebrities do, its obsessive rolling coverage is still unhinged and not normal.
You must have some good connections to them if you’ve got that level of insight into their relationship dynamics.

The smarter royals understand that all they need to do is turn up and wave in exchange for getting wealth and privilege. Harry can’t be arsed with that but still uses the royal connection and title to enrich himself.

Almost, but not as odious as his uncle.

They’re all pretty odious - the Mail’s coverage is still relentless and unhinged though.

Yes, but the bathroom window might as well be a Homebase showroom.

They can cry about privacy, but they keep doing media performances, including deciding to do this documentary. It's rather silly.

Well no. The difference between choosing to do media and having someone spy on your private life is quite large.

I can’t stand any of the Royals, this isn’t a defence of the people, but just because someone is in the public eye doesn’t give the public complete access to their lives. That’s tabloid spin you’re falling for.

How do you reconcile them imparting private details through hints and innuendo about their relationships with other members of their family? Isn't that intruding on *their* private life through the media?

Now tbf I can see there's a message to put out there, but I can't quite see how airing your dirty laundry works for anybody really.
