Playing an injured player instead of a fit one because they're out of favour is madness.
And I would play Burroughs there if that was the only option.
Kane's been pretty rubbish when he's had his chances too, tbf.
Without McF that defence falls to pieces when anything comes into the box. Whoever is signed has to be similar
I'm not usually a fan of signing older players, or big lumps, but we do actually need an older big lump there to guide the others through a bit.

One that can head it and kick it who is a leader and can get into the refs ear.

We are so weak one of the best times we had was when Denis Wise was helping referee the games.

Fact is that game didn't tell us anything we didn't already know about our squad. We already knew the where weaknesses and strengths are.
You could play that game 20 times and we'd win 19.
We're out of the FACup at the first hurdle. I won't lose a seconds sleep over that, as far as I'm concerned it pales into insignificance compared to say, dropping 2 points against Swansea or failing to beat Bristol C and Cardiff.

Well, at least it was an exciting watch. If they've been working on defending long throws in training, it clearly didn't pay off!

I don't know what's happened to Dabo or Moore, they both seem to have gone backwards massively.

Might just be me, but I'm not going to get hugely upset about it. Wrexham can have their day in the sun, I guess they deserve it.

I tend to agree. Daba does look unfit. We have been here before with him though haven't we? He comes back from injury and looks unfit and awful and then usually gets steadily better as the games have worn on.

All I can say is we don't see what goes on behind the scenes or in training, so there is a a degree of assumption. How do we know that Burroughs hasn't been carrying a knock too? Often managers keep these things quiet.

I don't know. I would have played Burroughs there myself, but have great trust in Robins and he's done alright for us so far in his tenure hasn't he. 🤷

There is nothing about Tavares that gives me even a hint of belief that a loan would suddenly help him out

He is still young. But I agree, I have not seen anything to suggest he has the makings of a Championship player. However he needs to be starting if he is to improve and needs a loan to do that.

"The players that come knocking on my door have to look beyond Coventry City now" Robins on an "embarrassing" first 60 mins.
Wonder who he’s talking about. Moore and Waghorn are the obvious shouts I think but I’m struggling to imagine Moore would have the confidence to ask for a game to be honest. Maybe Kelly but that seems harsh when he’s coming back from injury.

After 5 or 10 minutes against Cardiff Dabo couldn't run to track his man. This goes beyond form, something isn't right and he shouldn't be playing.

Or a permanent move, get his chance to develop a bit at a level more suited to him, see if he can learn things like where to position himself if he's a centre forward.

I suppose trying to find a positive at least these players were tried in this game and not a league game

The problem we have is there's so little depth in the squad that unless we go mad and sign about 10 players in the window which obviously isn't going to happen we're only an injury or two from these players being our only option

‘Some players need to look beyond Coventry city’

well said gaffa

there’s only one mark robins

He should also look at himself. His weaknesses aren't improving and whilst he is entitled to hang the players out to dry in the post match interview, he needs to do the right thing and accept responsibility. His arrogance on this is frustrating, especially after a result like that.

Not sure it would have been preferable to get the draw for a further game of potential embarrassed.
Hamer should have come on with Vik ,odd.
