However experts being £12bn out is a surprise

I think the OBR are 22bn out on their forecast borrowing figure provided in Nov ! This is hot on the heels of BoEs forecasted eight quarter recession in Nov, which had already shrunk to 3-4 quarters by last month. Its why I take forecasts with more than a pinch of salt

ultimately though this is a good news story

What happens if you walk into a women’s toilet? No idea, I’ve never tried it. The mere fact of trying it would highlight me as a wrongun.

The more serious questions are around sports, prisons and refuges which certainly can check.
Seems to be ok in prison. Males from birth stay in male prisons and get a really hard time if they move to female prisons. Not easy but it seems to be the parlance

Johnson is earning millions for travelling around the world doing speeches, is apparently busy writing a book, all whilst being paid to be an MP.

And now we, the public, are paying an extra 5 figure sum for his legal fees for the enquiry on top of the £££ we've already paid for them.

Council tax rising by £85 a year in Coventry.

After all the bailouts, issues with Wasps and the stadium, not to mention bin strikes…can we please, please vote this lot out?
So under the rate of inflation? Yes, it's quite an increase and I'd like it to be lower but I also understand local authorities are having a huge amount of extra work 'devolved' to them while simultaneously been given less money by government. Surely you want a council that is financially responsible and planned their budget accordingly rather than leaving huge gaps? Even then they're being hampered by the rule that says they cannot charge over a certain percentage increase. I;m sure most councils, regardless of their political persuasion, will be charging the full increase allowable and wish it could be higher.

What would be the alternative? Massively cut back on services, or remove them altogether. Then people like you would be complaining about crime going up, more homeless people/drug addicts begging on the streets and litter everywhere. But placing the blame everywhere but the spending cuts due to not wanting to increase.

There's loads to criticise and dislike the council for, some of which you've pointed out above, but in the grand scheme of things this is quite minor.

Council tax going up by at least 5% just about everywhere. Can't blame the council for the bin men going on strike and then have a go at your council tax going up. If they gave everyone the rise they are after your council tax would go up even more.

But I agree with the rest.
