I wonder if its possibly in place to counteract this a little too...This is all madness... and distracting from the purpose of the government's bill.

Another graph that doesn't show that a majority of people think immigration is too high. Outside of the right wind parties and a nationalist party who probably see english folk as immigrants there is not a majority who say immigration is too high.
A little tip for you, the number in the green box needs to be higher than the total of the number in the white and pink boxes
got anymore
So you’ve got no issues with Albanians coming as builders and fruit pickers then as they’re on the shortage list?
You won't listen, and you are refusing to read what I have said. My original statement that I have repeated over and over is that more people want less immigration in the UK than those who want more. I also said the number of people that want less migration is high, and should be taken seriously (at 44% it is actually close to being a majority anyway, and a significant number). You won't take that seriously, neither most people on this thread - which is one of the reasons why your side has not won an election in so long.
In that regard - the middle ground doesn't count. You cannot just recruit them to your side of the argument (which is what you are doing and then having the cheek to accuse me of). Unless you are getting so muddled up with this, I can only see that you are deliberately twisting what I am saying. Largely because you don't have any actual arguments. You don't want to accept that a lot of people are not happy with the high levels of immigration, which is an absolute fact.
The KS2 maths here is that 44 is bigger than 17 - that's all there is to it.
Strangely a review is being taken and the teachers admitted a child was removed for asking questions to the guest who became upset.
No doubt they are making it up and the lessons suspended for fun and the 12 complainants are all Tory actors and. Of actual parents
Put this crap to an end
HS2 line between Birmingham and Crewe delayed by two years
Government blames soaring construction prices but says it is "committed" to the high speed rail link.www.bbc.co.uk
if it were to be done, 'tis best it were done quickly.Delays to infrastructure improvements?
Delays to infrastructure improvements?
I’ll wait for the review of course, seeing as some of the claims have already been disputed. But there is a trend recently of rumours of inappropriate sex education lessons/gender discussions turning out to be rubbish.Strangely a review is being taken and the teachers admitted a child was removed for asking questions to the guest who became upset.

It’s the king of failed and pointless infrastructure projects

The Northern bit was supposedly the bit needed most, so why the hell they started by building the Southern bit, God only knows.I mean it hasn’t started yet. It’s still due to provide more benefit than cost but mostly I’m just sick of this country constantly downscaling things to useless half arsed shite. We’re getting Birmingham to London, at least get Birmingham to Manchester done as well.

Not exactly levelling up.

Scaled back to only Manchester to London. No extra stops to be put in along the line to take on extra passengers as it would make a fast train slower.
You jest, but I do find it curious that no-one seems to have tracked them down yet! Can’t imagine there are too many drag queens on the Isle of Man, let alone ones who apparently commandeered a school…Im surprised you haven’t been asked to interview the drag queen on the Island as an exclusive
Because everything’s got to be London centric or it doesn’t get funded. Same way the great idea for technical innovation is expand Oxford and Cambridge towards London. It’s almost like their levelling up plan is to build out London until is consumes the whole country.
There was around 25 in a single day towards the end of last summer. They’ve started to make them head to northern ports recently.Im amazed how many boats land on Italy every year

I didn't agree with it at the time, but it's certainly a total waste of time if it doesn't do what it's supposed to. If we're going to rip up Warwickshire countryside, at least connect the country properly as some kind of payback. Rate we're going we'll end up with all the costs, none of the benefits.Always said this. Crazy. To be fair though the decision to start in the south was before the whole ‘levelling up’ stuff. Not sure who made the call
Let’s be honest though most senior politicians and civil servants spend majority of their time in london and just don’t ‘get it’. It’s like the new Heathrow runway…Birmingham would surely make far more sense if the rest of transport infrastructure was good.
As I’ve said before an improved rail infrastructure was definitely the right move, the delivery, like a lot of large infrastructure projects has not been good. We’re in now though so should just plough on and get it done, anything else is just a lose lose scenario ie still costly and doesn’t even deliver original aims

It’s always been a waste of time - as you say destroyed the countryside - it’s a pathetic vanity project - they should just cancel and bite the bullet
if he did leave the bbc he'd walk into a new better paid jobI see a bunch of right wing snowflakes are trying to get Gary Lineker cancelled.
Fair play to Gary he’s standing his ground and standing up for free speech.

Why?It’s the king of failed and pointless infrastructure projects
They should have built the first leg of HS2 from Manchester to Birmingham. The cost of the London leg was always going to be more expensive due to the massive CPO and related costs, the labour costs associated with London and competition for workers.Because everything’s got to be London centric or it doesn’t get funded.
