I'm another vote to keep Eccles where he is. I thought Saturday was by far his best game yet. Confidence is a huge part of development. He made one or two minor mistakes in the game. No more than anyone else. I thought he deserved M.OM.

I’d say same as Saturday but between Howley or Maguire.

I'd play Maguire. Hawley was poor, too lightweight. We need points, so would only use him as a sub if we were in a comfortable position.

I'm still not sure about Eccles. Doesn't impress me too much at all. Think his distribution is pretty average. Great saving tackle in the box though on Saturday.

I don't think Sheaf will come straight back into the team for fitness reasons.

And to be honest I don't think he deserves to walk straight back in anyway, Eccles has been excellent in his absence and deserves the shirt at the moment.

Not sure what you are looking for if you don't rate him based on recent performances. He even eclipsed Hamer as man of the match on Saturday.

He is involved in so much of the play, passes well, tackles and he covers for the defenders brilliantly. As Fernando says he is similar to Sheaf, and those sort of players are often underestimated by fans as they aren't spectacular like Hamer and Gyokeres.

I think Eccles, Burroughs and Howley will all become good players for us over the next few years. It's great to see young players coming through the youth team.

Given how threadbare the squad is and some players looking a bit tired you'd want to make the most of everyone available, even if from the bench. Without the data that shows how tired the players are and thus increasing their liability to injury it's hard to say who should start and who should be rested.

I think I'd replace Howley, probably with Maguire, regardless, but others are a worry. Fadz has to start and just hope we can be comfortable enough to take him off later.

Talking of our youngsters. I'm watching the Falkirk-Ayr QF on BBC Scotland. Blaine Rowe is on loan to Falkirk. He's having a good game and is more than capable of playing men's football.

Do you have to ruin every thread on this forum?

What they said is completely wrong, but yours (and others) fake outrage to score points is just as bad. Do you have any connection to people with disabilities whatsoever?

Apologies, it is wrong my bad

That's good to hear. He seems to have been at the club for a long time.

They won too, so Blaine will be playing a SF at Hampden vs Cally Thistle. They have a decent chance of getting to the final.

Couldn't watch or listen on Saturday so won't attempt a team prediction, I'd say it's too early for Sheaf to start though. They're bottom and are shit so we should win, I'll go with 2-0 City

They only have two wins since the middle of October, and they were against the two other teams in the bottom 3.

2 wins, against crap teams, in 23 games. Ouch.

This is all set up nicely for a classic City loss where we have eleventy billion shots and they have one.

Yup. So many times we have seen this over the years haven't we. This is exactly the sort of game we go on to lose.

Very happy to be proved wrong, but for me, this has banana skin written all over it.

It’s an inbuilt fear of being let down that’s part of the evolution of a Cov fan. There is also the knowledge that their goalkeeper for one game only, will play like Gordon Banks but with perfect vision in both eyes ( ps I’m not being Ablist)

I know it would be risky to change formation at this point in the season but a 442 could be a better use of the players we have available at the moment. Something similar to Burnley away.

Wilson
Dabo mcnally doyle bidwell
Cuffey Eccles Hamer JWE
Godden Gyokeres

When the change was made Saturday it took a good 10-15 mins to know what was happening
Would imagine the same 11 will start again barring injury or knocks
