Pretty poor 1st half...from both sides.
Next to zero big opportunities.
One goal could win this...hopefully ours, after some inspired changes.

Well that was disappointing. Wigan look more fluid than us and linking much better in forward areas. They seem to be on to every second ball. Our passing has been dreadful. McNally are best player by far. Though Wilson has done well.
Have to be much better second half.

I've always felt we tend to be a 'fair weather' team. Don't seem to play well in driving wind and rain. Only exception being Blackburn in the snow.

Eccles has been dog shit what game are people watching?

The reason Gus is looking so poor is hes playing CM on his own

Sheaf for Eccles
JWE for Bidwell
Howley for Maguire

@PVA won’t like this

so far we've been shite letting them bully us and aimless passing,
half time changes needed.

McNally looks awake, rest of defence a bit sleepy. Eccles mixed, some immature pass choices - understandable, some decent play.

No one in the centre circle for us. McDire not racing to cover and intercept.

It's a bit like Saturday, where we are a man short in midfield. Sheaf if fit enough must come on. We can't expect hamer and eccles to do that much dog work. We are playing too many lose balls too. Wigan had a few flashes as expected, but we should be all over them by now. It's needs energy like Esbrand & Cuffy. Changes must be made & we can go on and win it. Changes there must be.

Think we will do better second half. In fairness Wigan aren’t playing too bad but I just think with pressure they’ll struggle at the back. Think the Sheaf on and Hamer into number 10 is a good shout.

Looking tired… need to get to this international break. But would be lush if we got 7 points from hull Wigan and Blackpool.

Get a fucking life you tedious bellend 👍🏻

he’s been poor tonight - you singled him out as doing well? That’s embarrassing

He's not, but still been some ridiculous decisions. Beyond me why Gyökeres can be pulled all over the place constantly.
It will be worse for him in the Premiership. He gets tight and into wrestling matches and loves it. He just moans too much and refs are aware of it. He has made his own bed and got himself a rep with refs. They are briefed pre match just like players are on the opposition.

58% possession in the attacking third compared to 70% Wigan says it all. If we are playing two up we need to hold the ball up much better.

Then how does O'Nien last more than five minutes in any match?

If sheaf is fit get him on for Eccles so Hamer can start to impact the game - he can then influence the game far better

Few individuals worse, few better, but overall as a team we just haven’t been good enough so far.

Other than one counter attack, we’ve barely played any football at all.

Maguire not offering much, but it’s being exacerbated as neither are the front two. Gyokeres attempting to but he’s being fairly well marshalled and we aren’t then using the space that creates.

Far from convinced on JWE, but there’s so much space and he’ll better exploit it than Bidwell. Would like to see Walker get a solid 30/35 for Godden too.

Defence playing well, but the rest is a bit haphazard. Maguire weak for me - perhaps unsurprising, looks weak, whilst I think Eccles has done well. Think Burroughs has looked physically strong, although his use of the ball is in and out on a tricky pitch. Options on the bench. Come on City.

Sheaf has got to come on to give us a measure of control in midfield.
Maguire And Godden to come off, Maybe Howley to play behind Vik.
