What a frustrating performance. Should have finished that off. Would have expected Godden to have taken at least one of his chances. Walker should have replaced him at some point.
On the plus side, Sheaf looked sharp.

Watch us lose to Blackpool now too, 2 points from a possible 9 against 3 lower half teams

Much too early to say the season is over - I just hope the players aren’t that defeatist with nine games to go.

One look at the table and it's clear it's over. Blackburn win and we are so far behind we may as well give Moore a game.

Win 7 of our last 9 and more than often than not, that’s enough points to finish in the top six.

Not saying it’s likely but it’s surely preferable to try rather than just give up in mid-March?

Overall it’s been a great effort

frustrated but is what it is
Most frustrating seeing Luton probably make the play offs second season running because they can make better use of similar funds. That said it shouldn't take away from how Robins has performed under very challenging circumstances.

Goddens USP is scoring. Its seemingly been previously accepted that as long as he scores we can live with him not offering much else.

But a) it seems to take him more chances to score now and b) if we want to be in the promotion hunt we cannot carry a player like that.

Can still be used in a super sub type role, but not a consistent Championship starter imo.

The disapointment was we turned a 90 minute opportunity into a 45 minute one.

But we still had opportunities to win it.

Wigan worked their socks off tonight and deserved a point.

Still plenty of points to go for so keep the faith because other teams will fuck up too.

How frustrating. Honestly expected them to fold and us to score a couple more after the goal. Fair play both sides though, it was a proper slog.

BNC….. what a shoddy cameo. Didn’t beat a man once and his delivery was woeful. Thought he’d been improving of late but that was dogpiss. Godden has to do better with that chance toward the end, weak foot or not.

Thought Wigan looked better than bottom of the league, and their manager made attacking substitutions, they were a bit of a handful. The real issue, as Robins said earlier in the week, is that we don’t score enough goals. The possession we had for the first 30 minutes of the second half should have enabled us to score again and put the game beyond them. It did cry out for fresh legs up top.

Made worse by the fact he's injured every 5 mins.

Would anyone lose a wink of sleep if BNC was recalled tomorrow?

I certainly wouldn’t. Absolutely horrendous player.

For the past 3/4 games I’ve refrained from posting my thoughts on him in the hope that he may come good once he ‘beds in’ or may at least contributes positively in some manner…. Yet, he hasn’t.

Offers no threat offensively, no cover in defence and loses the ball constantly. Dabo and Burroughs in this position are just fine for me. Send this gangly clown back to Arsenal’s 23’s.

We're not going to do that if we can't beat dross like Wigan, you can't just drop off like we did and the manager has got to recognise it much quicker. He as per a few occasions just watched it happen. We needed some impetus but just dropped back further and further.
