I think what people have kind of always been pushing for is somewhere between putting in nothing and pumping in millions. Like reinforcing a skeleton squad in the middle of a playoff push.

I don’t expect him to pump in silly money. But if the plan is to put in nothing above what the club makes, you may as well have it fan run. Most owners do put in something extra each season at our level and above.

Even if we do go up, will Vik want to stick around? Could go to 10 prem clubs and be on 100k+ a week, something we can't offer.

I hope we’ve got huge promotion incentives in place particularly for Vik.

Need him being electric and not having one eye on a big payday elsewhere.

If we don't go up he's not going to stay and waste a year of his career. The 12 months contract thing is not an issue. If a Premier league team wants him they are not going to be put off by these sort of fees or risk not getting him by waiting for a year,
