I said before the game as that was long as we were still in it I'd be happy

Controversial, because since he's been back he's been great (which I wasn't expecting). But, score in the second half at the Riverside, then bring him on for the last half an hour instead.

I'm hoping Sheaf is our secret weapon that Robins is waiting for the right time to use.
I’m hoping O’Hare is our secret weapon and he’s been secretly brought back to fitness and will be in the team like a Jack-in-the-box.

Obviously unrealistic but we can dream.

McSheffrey critical of the quality out wide on CWR. Sky were pointing out the space between the top two and the midfield which left Gods and Gyoks pretty isolated.

I was mad at Hamer for shooting with Gods totally free on the left. He was 'a bit miffed' too.

Wasn’t great, but think they’re just a better team than we are. So comfortable on the ball compared to us. Having Godden on the pitch for 90 mins was like playing with 10 men and they marked Gyokeres out of the game. Can’t really see us getting anything at their place, especially with how dreadful our record in midweek away games has been this season, but at least we’re still in it.

The first goal will be massively important, more so than usual.

We wouldn't be here without him

Drop Kelly
Don’t agree with that. He got stuck in to the duals and held his position to block off infield balls really well. He’s no Hamer but I’d keep him in and if MR insists with playing Godden bring Sheaf in to play alongside him to receive short passes, Sheaf can then make some incisive forward passes which is what we lacked today.

I’d play our back 5 with Kelly and Sheaf deep, Gus roaming and running into box, Allen pressing to stop them playing out.

Vik is fine ok his own. Not many players you can say that about.

Will take that, looked like it could be a thrashing after 30 minutes but dragged ourselves back into it.
Second half decent without any real chances.

Obviously we are underdogs but all to play for now Wednesday

Crying out for us to go one up top and play the extra man in midfield. Godden a passenger.

Said I'd be ok with a draw before the game, so not changing that view, and we're well in this but never imagined we'd not have a shot in anger.

The more I think about it Godden must be dropped to the bench.

Think this way:

It’s not ridiculous to imagine us playing 120-130 mins on Wednesday and you need him to take a pen rather than have him wandering around like a mugged tourist all that time and MR not taking him off (because he needs him on potential pens).

Going to go against what I'm assuming is the majority opinion and say I'm delighted with the draw , obviously we could be better on the ball and hope to sneak the 1-0 but il take this result all day everyday .. pressure on boro now

Got to agree, Godden literally did nothing. But neither did Vik. I think we need to go 1 up top in the away leg.

Agreed. Could have gone for it today, and it back fired and lost 3-0. Think its much better to be conservative.

They've created nothing really against us in 2 matches either , only our lapse in concentration gave them their opportunity up there .. we've got to believe we can go there and get something after the last 2 matches

Boro fans laughing on their forum about how 'shit' we are.

Vik was subdued but still did far more than Godden, in terms on touches, picking the ball up in the channel, cutting inside etc. Virtually everything was played into Vik, but he was marshalled really well. Really like Godden, but that was not a game for him today.

Other than the goal on Monday, the 2 Wilson's saves in the first half today and the free header Akpom put wide in the second half, they have created nothing.
