Accepting that we were in a shit position at the time, he’d have been commanding similar fees to gyro’s transfer. He didn’t

Plus fees have greatly inflated since thenNo midfielder in league 1 ever was signed for anything like that
To be fair haven’t we ultimately received around 6/7m for Maddison? We’ve not done too badly out of himDele Alli was probably the most comparable talent to have left a League 1 club before that, and according to Wikipedia he transferred to Spurs for an intial £5.5m.
Also have to remember it was around 7 years ago the fee with its add ons for a 19 year old division one player was good.To be fair haven’t we ultimately received around 6/7m for Maddison? We’ve not done too badly out of him
Has he fucking gone yet??????
Yeah Julian Gray went years agoHas he fucking gone yet??????
Nope!!Has he fucking gone yet??????
It was said that there was detail re the financials still to sort, payment schedule etc (at the end of last week.) It's a very large amount for both clubs so they'll be feeling their way I guess.
It's by far (as in far) their record signingOkay, but have they never signed players before.
It’s turned out to be a good deal over time, and we’ve been fortunate with how his career has panned out, but compared to the deals for Delph and Alli (two clearly inferior players) it seems a bit pedestrian. To be fair haven’t we ultimately received around 6/7m for Maddison? For a few seasons Alli was the best AM in the country, it’s just in recent years his head has goneIt’s turned out to be a good deal over time, and we’ve been fortunate with how his career has panned out, but compared to the deals for Delph and Alli (two clearly inferior players) it seems a bit pedestrian.
Yep, suspect about to be announced.Sporting tweeting cryptic messages.
You’re thinking of the Dele Alli of the last 2 years, back in 2018 he’d come off a season where he’d scored 15 goals and clearly looked like a main stay in Englands team. Dele Alli on form is as good as if not better than MaddersIt’s turned out to be a good deal over time, and we’ve been fortunate with how his career has panned out, but compared to the deals for Delph and Alli (two clearly inferior players) it seems a bit pedestrian.
