He hasn't said that at all. Christ your agenda against Doug is all-consuming isn't it?? £3.5 million on Simms, more than a million quid for Sakamoto. Clearly more players coming in, club infrastructure being upgraded massively. More season tickets sold than ever before and all of this off the back of a run to the playoff final. What more do you want??

Not really i still find time to wank

How do you know he will though? He has talked about renovating ryton as a whole and adding facilities. How would you expect those to be paid for?

He shouldn't come out and say he's funding it all then should he?

That's my issue

Not the money being used, its sensible, its needed of course some should go on off the field stuff

He says stuff that contradicts what he's said before e.g family zone, infrastructure from his own pocket or backtracks on it, eg Season Tickets, box prices

Unless what he's saying is true or can be stuck to shouldn't he just shut up? that's what everyone said about the previous incumbents no?

No

But don't publicly claim all the work being done at Ryton and new pitch etc is all coming out of his pocket and then say the vik money is going towards it in the statement

Contradicting himself
Fucking hell, you are by far the most negative person on this forum, by some distance.

He is stating that deliberately so it can’t be used against them in future negotiations.

Just stop the constant negativity around the ownership of the club. We are a million miles better off than we have been in the past 20 plus years. Enjoy the ride.

Support, not fund. As it should, this is the most money the club has had to play with and it should be used to develop the long term future of the club.

Not if the club doesn't own the actual physical infrastructure - also King has himself said we should be in the top 6 3 seasons in the next 5

Is it negative? I'm pointing out a contradiction on what he said previously you sausage

If this was SISU and the same was said you'd all be up in arms banging on about Joys new handbag

Its right some Vik money should be used on infrastructure, just don't twerk for the fans claiming you're paying for Ryton renovations and new CBS pitch and then when the Vik money comes in claim that's going towards it

I'm not saying its a bad thing, I'm saying he needs to stop spouting things then contradicting or going back on it

Perhaps he should've known how much we'd sell Vik for in July when he made them statements early on in the year ?

To be fair he could have paid for the urgent ones (pitch etc) but there be talking about future stuff or things were not aware of yet.

Ok that’s fair enough.

But it’s common knowledge that when you receive big money for a player, as soon as you get the negotiating with another club for a new player, the price is inflated. He is protecting against that imo.

I just think you can come across as anti Doug, which if I am honest is astonishing considering what we’ve put up with for years.

I hope Doug is just trying to bluff out over clubs who think we’ll have loads of money in the official site press release…

Spot on. Of course some will be held back but no way do you go out and say we’re splashing the cash (even if some on here would like that) as prices for players will go through the roof.

let’s just judge where we are at the end of the window.

ps Great vid from Vik. Legend. Emotional 😢
