They're both good and roughly the same quality I would say. Both poor at distribution but good solid defenders. Hyam reads the game better but McNally is stronger. Would be ideal if we could sign both.Would you have Hyam over McNally ? I wouldn’t but I’d take both !

To get both would be great. I'd have Hyam back in a heartbeatWould you have Hyam over McNally ? I wouldn’t but I’d take both !
Is it club policy at Blackburn that there must always be a Gallagher in their employment at any given time?Hyam, Gallagher and Szmodics would all be on my radar from Blackburn
Rankin-costello without a doubt, always seems to score tooFinancial problems at Blackburn … rumours of pressure to sell players and quickly …. Anyone we fancy ?

Adam Wharton by a country mile , that lad has huge potentialFinancial problems at Blackburn … rumours of pressure to sell players and quickly …. Anyone we fancy ?
Transfer fees are normally paid over time not been a year since he left my betting is Blackburn will still owe instalments so maybe a deal can be done if MR is interested that is.Hyam won’t come back. Club decided to flog him off to pay for a pitch. I think he’ll remember that.
Would have him back in a heartbeat , absolute raw talent but will only improveBNC not gone to America with the arsenal squad...
Have to agree, imo the lad still only 19 has huge potential and not just at RWB, but I’d only have him back on a permanent deal.Would have him back in a heartbeat , absolute raw talent but will only improve
Would love him on a permanent too but maybe a similar deal to Sheaf and O’Hare . Loan with a view to a permanentHave to agree, imo the lad still only 19 has huge potential and not just at RWB, but I’d only have him back on a permanent deal.

I rate Wharton too.
Yep exactly, don't know why everyone thinks Hyam would come back, they will probably sell Adam Wharton to a prem sideHe's just signed a new long term contract! Suggest you take a look at his goal scoring record too
Cutting costs doesn't automatically mean a firesale, which is a conclusion many on here are jumping too. They've signed 3 players already this Summer, and a quick look at their message board shows they aren't even discussing this story. This site would be in melt down if there were a similar story about us!!
I think this story has emerged because according to recent reports Blackburn owners have apparently ordered a 20% cut in their budget and vetoed a couple of signings they had in the pipe line and their manager has threatened to resign so there is a bit of 2+2 coming to 5 on here.Yep exactly, don't know why everyone thinks Hyam would come back, they will probably sell Adam Wharton to a prem side
And how many of those defenders from last season are at the club now?Hyam left
The defence was better without him
Move on
It's more a discussion of would we go for him if the chance aroseI think this story has emerged because according to recent reports Blackburn owners have apparently ordered a 20% cut in their budget and vetoed a couple of signings they had in the pipe line and their manager has threatened to resign so there is a bit of 2+2 coming to 5 on here.
Wolves have a £22m bid for Alex Scott rejected, wtf is happening with these prices? Surely that’s totally ridiculous for a midfielder in a poor team
Would have thought he’d have gone on their tour if they see him as a genuine future first teamer, they’ve taken quite a few young playersThere's little chance that Norton-Cuffy comes on a permanent, Arsenal think an awful lot of him which would make him outside out what we could afford.
I do think there's a good chance we get him back on loan though and I hope that's the case.
I'd also love to be wrong on the permanent transfer.
The in-thing now with Prem teams seems to be the buy-back clause. I guess it's a way of stopping squad bloat and FFP issues but without missing out on potential future talent. Something we could take advantage of maybeThere's little chance that Norton-Cuffy comes on a permanent, Arsenal think an awful lot of him which would make him outside out what we could afford.
