I've already reported the club to the Modern Slavery Helpline, the b*stards holding Hamer against his will.
I mean that's a pretty abhorrent comparison to actual slaveryWasn’t it the Dutch who said the Bosman ruling was established to prevent slavery in football?
Not sure what to take from that. Gyokeres has always been very driven and blunt on what he wants. Hamer by most accounts is like a much more talented Paul Telfer
Yes it is disgusting actually.I mean that's a pretty abhorrent comparison to actual slavery

For the record it was not me that started the slavery discussion
If you take it at face value, then he should be allowed to go right here right now.Not long ago you were arguing that this whole story isn't true anyway. Have you changed your mind?
Which kicks in at the end of a contract... what's your point?Wasn’t it the Dutch who said the Bosman ruling was established to prevent slavery in football?
Happy to use it in your argument though eh...For the record it was not me that started the slavery discussion

Stop with the slavery chat it’s a football thread
Would fans take Gus running his contract down if he performed to the same level as last season?
Yes, as long as he gets us a top 6 finish again.Stop with the slavery chat it’s a football thread

The club is quite entitled to hang on to him if they can't get an acceptable price for him. To be perfectly honest, he needs to either hand in a transfer request or sign the deal. A year in limbo does nobody any favours. If you take it at face value, then he should be allowed to go right here right now.
Other ways of seeing is that an awful lot of people have an awful lot of different speculations about Hamer, and that is either unfair on him as it exposes his personal thoughts and intentions to an audience that has no right to that, or it's intentional to create what Hamer had wanted all along.

So do you now believe that this is the stumbling block rather than his head being turned by clubs offering better terms?Well he seems very public and good at sharing information that becomes public

Family circumstance.
Wants to stay
What wages he wants to stay
Now he wants to stay but might have to leave
Nothing very secret is there - he likes to share
There are football players and other sports people who have been subject to human trafficking. Indeed we have had one on our books. But cheapening this horrendous crime with comparisons to Hamer's position (which we don't even know) isn't acceptable. Modern slavery is no joke. The Attack on Soccer's 'Slave Trade' (Published 1995)
..Can a man defeat a system? The European Court of Justice in Luxembourg on Tuesday began a hearing which, three or more months from now, could endorse one player's claim that the soccer transfer market is iniquitous, illegal, and little better than awww.nytimes.com

£8mWhat would people say is the minimum fee we should accept for Gus?

Honestly you are a total fuck head for comparing footballers to some of the horrible shit that happens in modern slavery you should be ashamed for even trolling with this. You had the option to leave as a teacher when you were unhappy
It’s incredibly cruel to force someone to stay as they can’t escape the chains of their contract
All modern liberal people on here would want kindness for an individual above selfish gains surely?

I was thinking the bids have probably been miles less than that. Obviously at a level we wouldn't even consider.
Yeah let's have a laugh about modern slavery...I see the ridiculous curse of literalism strikes again...
