My football views are actually respected by most on here. I have actually been involved in the game at a half decent standard whereas you haven’t actually got a clue
You do realise that being insulted by you, is like watching the village idiot stick his tongue out.

I agree were not creating enough, that's why you play your top scorer, the one who has proven he can make the best of slim pickings.

And there you go again, mentioning price tags, it's irrelevant mate. Absolutely meaningless

Fair, the price tag thing is pretty meaningless I agree but I just think we should give them more than one chance with absolutely no service before we slate them.

As for Godden, there’s no way you can tell me that he would have scored from the same service that we provided Wright and Simms today. I’m not saying Godden is shit or deserves to never play, I’m just saying that the issue does not fall at the feet of the striker. If we give our strikers absolutely no service then you can’t expect them to score. Godden equally did very little when he came on, again because he was given no service. Yes he runs around a lot and yes it looks good but it resulted in the same outcome, no goals. We need to up our runs into the box, our take-ons of defenders, our dribbles and our 1-2 passes, that’s the issue.

Eccles gets grief for their goal but Ayari was ball watching as their player wandered into the box, even had time for a touch before scoring

Tbh ayari is a bit of a waste of a loan drifts in and out of the game. Would love to see sakas direct running and drive down the middle till we get O'Hare back. A bit of workrate would "compliment" wright and Simms. Could see those two getting the hairdryer treatment under other managers.

You’re in the minority. I actually know about football and how tactics work. You just throw out inane cliches and then try and insult me although I’ve forgot more about football in the last 30 seconds than you’ll ever know

Also, it was a split second decision: hoof it or try and make some space to (possibly) counter. The latter, I imagine, is probably what he’s been instructed to do.

The rest was just awful, Norwich basically walked it in. 🫣

Overall, I think we should have won it. If only Tatsu could have directed that header about 6 inches to the right. ⚽️

I actually thought today that there were some passages of play which reminded me of last season. Only some but haven’t seen much of that since Leicester. As for Norwich the guy next to me said they lacked ambition and that was a massive compliment. I haven’t seen a performance like that for a very long time. They set such a low bar it was unbelievable that the ref managed to go even lower

Nearly came away with 3 points despite that lack of ambition mind

You should be manager then, seeing as you know so much!

Wright was poor.

But there were a lot of times we'd have the ball in midfield and there would be a sea of yellow between it and the strikers. They both look like the type who want to play off the shoulder, so we need to have someone who can link them with our holding midfielders. Ayari played alright today but positionally he didn't seem to be "in the hole" much.

Also they're both big boys, Simms especially seems to struggle to turn on the ball so there's not much point him coming short for it.

Absolutely bang on, Ayari plays well in spells but there’s times when there was a perfectly good ball to play to our strikers or to another incoming midfielder for a 1-2 and we instead chose to go backwards. I think when Sheaf and O’Hare are back we will play with more fluidity and we can have a proper debate on who are the best strikers to play. The one positive is when our squad is fully fit we’ll have competition for every place and hopefully that’ll spur our players on even further.

If we give our strikers no service let's drop the striker who has been the most successful with those slim pickings?

There was loads of good service. Do the stats, look at the replays we had balls flying into their penalty area all afternoon.

Or a better idea is we actually play proper through balls, take on defenders, pass more incisively and use the pace of our strikers to score goals, rather than settling on the idea that we’re going to give our strikers slim pickings.

I don’t mind Godden playing, my argument is nothing about wanting to see him on the bench every week, it’s about what is the absolute optimal way we can play. It’s not about trying to pick sides and shit on our own players it’s about how we can actually score goals and be more creative as a team. Maybe Godden is the best option but I don’t think we’ve explored all avenues yet. I still think the box formation is worth a go, we’ll have a fair few attacking mids when O’Hare is back, I think O’Hare and Saka/Ayari up front would be great, then it’s a choice of Wright/Godden/Simms up top.

This forum is so reactionary, one week we’re all “Ole Ole Ole” and within 4 days we’ve forgotten he got us 3 points against a solid Blackburn side. Give the players a chance.

Yeah we had balls flying around everywhere but none of it was accurate or dangerous, there were maybe 3-4 decent balls into the box but none of them aimed at a free striker, most of them defended pretty easily. I think decent service should also be a lot of balls through to feet so we can run onto them, hardly got any of that either.

and I’ve never seen anyone on this forum have such a stubborn, closed mind as you.

I’m bringing ideas to the table, giving players a chance, open to all sorts of possibilities, discussing the nuances of how we can play better, looking at the positives from our team going forward, yet all we get from you is how we should shit on our new strikers and talk about how Godden is the answer to all our prayers.

What a pillock, honestly listen to yourself!

'Im bringing ideas yo the table, discussing nuances' Haha!
You've been banging on all week about playing Simms and Wright, it didn't work, now you're performing mental gymnastics to try and justify calling for our top scorer to be dropped, 🤡 absolute buffoon.

For all the on and off criticism of Ayari, he's a 19 year old 6m gamble from a club that recruit generally very well. If he was the finished article we wouldnt have him here on loan. He's got a bit a vision but consistency is always going to be the sticking point for a lad his age
