You can but the problem is people are not , that's a fact already proven on this thread

And puff your chest out with such conviction when people criticise the behaviours and actions of people within the religion of Islam... grrr

Once again , Hamas are terrorists , full stop
Agreed, they are. Still doesn’t justify what Israel has done to civilians on the other side.

I actually find Twitter quite good but it's been as big a cesspit as I've seen it since the Hamas attacks.
I want to keep abrest of what's going on but some of it is such partisan propaganda it's hard to disseminate the truth.

And even stuff that seems legit seems to get at worst disproved or at best nuance added. And everyone on every side is so partisan it’s almost impossible to find neutral sources. Every sub group of twitter I follow, even YIMBY twitter has strong opinions on it now.

I’m not even sure what point you are making here. No one has disagreed with this point about Hamas

Which posts have conflated Judaism with Israel?

I don't think even Tea and Busquets has done that in his rants though I wouldn't go out on a limb on that.

A few remarks very close to the bone , which several posters have alluded to , not far back

I don’t agree with using Zionist personally but I don’t think it’s cut and dry. As long as it’s not creeping towards protocols of Zion stuff I don’t think it’s worth getting too upset about in this context.

There's a joint venture between Palestinian and Israeli journalists which is pretty good.

Can't remember the name.

The thread in a nutshell

Hamas are terrorists..but

Israel are killing kids…but. It’s the same on both sides mate. Overly touchy about anything close to prejudice, assuming the worst, answering every concern with a what about. Absolutely convinced of your righteousness.

How do you not see it’s a microcosm of the whole thing? No one willing to just take a breath and start from now.

OK il put another thing over to you

Let's say tomorrow Israel agrees to split Jerusalem and give Palestine some land back etc etc ..do you think terror attacks against Israel will stop ?

We both know the answer is no and only a full destruction of the state will be enough for the Arab nations in the middle east

The ones hamas keep hiding behind ?
It’s kind of impossible not to when confined to such a small piece of territory, however let’s suppose they had a choice and did it anyway. Why then would the IDF shell boys playing football on the beach? Why bomb hospitals and mosques? These are crimes, plain and simple. As by the way is the occupation of the West Bank.

They would still hide behind the innocent civilians because they're cowardly bastards like every Islamic terrorist before them, they'd pull a child infront of them in an open field if they could

Hasn't it been "Hamas are terrorists but Israel shouldn't be bombing innocent children?" What's wrong with that? Shouldn't that be what we would all want to see?

That's the only but I believe.

There have been some atrocities carried out by Russian soldiers on Ukrainians. It is just as bad though when the shoe is on the other foot. We should condemn the lot

Indiscriminate killing is indiscriminate killing .

It was assumed that Northern Ireland would never see peace and that Martin McGuinness and Ian Paisley would never talk, never mind jointly govern. If the IRA could be convinced to lay down arms, so can Hamas.

They've got good relations with several Arab countries, especially some of the the Gulf states.

Iran is a different story....

I don’t think they will. And hasn’t Israel said they’ll bomb anything that comes across the border? (Genuine question it’s so hard to know what’s confirmed right noe
The USA Israel and Egypt are already discussing green corridors.

As for the bombing I believe it was said yes

You do realise there will be a new Hamas as there is now a very active new IRA

Don't hink Islamic extremists are anywhere near as easy to negotiate with on the grand scale

I honestly believe in this instance Hamas needs to be gone, as does Netanyahu.
A more .moderate Israeli leader and Fatah might have a chance, a slim one,but a chance.

My opinion is it's too late though

The new IRA is a tiny fraction of what it used to be and is largely unwelcome in the nationalist community from what I see. In the event we had a Palestinian peace process, Hamas jeapordising it would be equally unwelcome.

Blockades, murders of civilians and shelling the Gaza Strip is not going to change anything.

They're friends with countries that have an equal hatred of Iran aren't they

Yeah, along with a couple of others, not sure it's as bad as you're making out, though in that region things change with the flick of a switch.

What’s clear is they aren’t going to solve it themselves.

It was the PLO played the Hamas role back in the day.

Then they became the statesmen
